City of Clarksville to begin Phase 2 of Reopening   

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN –  Many City of Clarksville offices and departments will resume full staffing and increase public-facing operations on Monday, June 1st, 2020 relaxing more of the COVID-19 Emergency Operations plans that have been in effect since March 23rd, 2020.

“Our plan for a phased, orderly reopening of City Government continues,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said Friday.

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department continues to focus on enforcement of traffic laws in school zones and around school buses.

It only takes a few moments of conversation with school crossing guards to understand the depth of the problem. Three guards — Raphaela Velasquez, Vanna Gibson and Barbie Hemmingsen — recently visited Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts to appeal for help in getting drivers to behave in school zones.

Clarksville Police look to identify Suspects that abandon Stolen Vehicle, Steal Another

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify suspects that abandoned a stolen vehicle out of Nashville on November 15th at a Cunningham Lane, Clarksville business after it sustained a flat tire.

The suspects then took advantage of an opportunity to steal another vehicle, which was was left running unattended, on the parking lot of the Cunningham Lane business.

Drug Take Back Day nets 132 pounds of drugs

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Local law enforcement, first responders and community organizations joined with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Saturday to collect 132 pounds of expired, unused and unwanted drugs on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
