Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Kenwood area sidewalks project begins March 3rd

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department reports a sidewalk construction project near the Kenwood Schools campus will require the Heritage Park skate park to close for about two weeks.

In January, representatives from Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), Clarksville-Montgomery County schools, the City of Clarksville, DBS & Associates Engineering, Clarksville Gas & Water Department and contractor Adams Construction met for a preconstruction meeting to discuss the sidewalk project.

Jeff Bryant is running for Montgomery County Highway Supervisor

 

Election 2020Clarksville, TN – Jeff Bryant, a Montgomery County native, has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Highway Supervisor, where he will be running as a Republican against Kevin Griffy in the March 3rd Primary.

Bryant is a graduate of Montgomery Central High School, and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he walked on as a member of the Skyhawk Football team. He graduated in 2005 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering and immediately secured employment with Clarksville’s own DBS and Associates Engineering.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Recertification Refresher Class at Agero

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, June 20th, Agero hosted the Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Green Certification Program’s refresher class. Thirty-one attendees representing many of the organizations that originally certified in 2013 and 2015 participated in the class.

The class reviewed the latest environmental concerns in our community, discussed the impacts on the environment, and shared their ideas and continued improvements within their own organizations.

APSU Governors Bass Tournament begins in a few weeks

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 13th, 2017 the 24th annual APSU Governors Bass Tournament will be held at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing (Tennessee) State Park. Last season’s tourney drew nearly 200 boats.

More than $12,000 dollars in prize money will be awarded. Previously, the Top 25 places earned cash prizes but now only the Top 10 places will gain monetary awards, meaning greater cash payouts, respectively, for those positions.

APSU’s 21st Annual Governors Bass Tournament set for this Saturday, May 16th

 

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – The 21st annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament will be held 6:00am, Saturday, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park.

Twelve thousand dollars in prize money will be awarded with a guaranteed first-place prize of $5,000. Second-place is guaranteed $1,500. Third and fourth-place will receive $1,000 and $600.00, respectively. The top 25 places will receive prizes.
