Tennessee Titans last contest against Detroit Lions

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Behind the arm of quarterback Marcus Mariota, the Tennessee Titans overcame a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter for just the fourth time in the Titans era—and first time since 2006—to defeat the Detroit Lions 16-15 at Ford Field and move to 1-1 on the season.

The Detroit defense controlled the game from early in the first quarter, when Lions defensive end Devin Taylor tackled running back DeMarco Murray in the end zone for a safety.

The Titans have won the last five matchups, including victories in 2001; the 2004 season finale; a Thanksgiving game in 2008; an overtime thriller at Nissan Stadium in 2012; and a come-from-behind, one-point win at Ford Field in 2016.

This is the second of two annual meetings between the division foes. On September 20th at Nissan Stadium, the Titans won 33-30 after Stephen Gostkowski booted the game-winning 49-yard field goal with 1:36 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was their second consecutive win over the Jaguars and their sixth win in the last seven battles.

Tennessee Titans featured in Three Primetime games during 2020 Season

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The National Football League (NFL) has released the 2020 regular season schedule, and the Tennessee Titans will be featured in three primetime contests, including an appearance on Monday Night Football to open the season at Denver on September 14th.

The Titans will return to Nashville for their home opener against Jacksonville on Sunday, September 20th. The other primetime games include a Thursday Night home game against the Indianapolis Colts on November 12th and a visit to the Green Bay Packers for a Sunday Night game on December 27th.
