Austin Peay State University reschedules 2020 Homecoming to October 10th

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) officials recently announced this year’s homecoming festivities will be moved to October 10th, 2020 when the Governors take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at 3:00pm in Fortera Stadium.

That’s because it’s Austin Peay State University’s Fall Break, October 14th-15th. Neither the Clarksville Campus nor Fort Campbell Center will have classes those two days.

APSU Students visit Louisville for Alternative Break trip

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – During Fall Break, a group of Austin Peay State University students traveled with a staff member to Louisville, Kentucky, for an Alternative Break Trip. The group worked with the Louisville Rescue Mission, volunteering specifically in the organization’s Thrift & Thrive thrift store and getting to know the residents of the Mission’s Life Change program.

Austin Peay State University Students do service work during Fall Break

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Last month, 20 Austin Peay State University students spent their fall breaks volunteering at three nonprofit organizations in Tennessee and Missouri, collectively completing 250 hours of community service.

From October 10th-14th, students traveled in small groups to three locations, including the Endangered Wolf Sanctuary in Eureka, Missouri; the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center in Chattanooga; and The Kitchen in Springfield, Missouri.

Fort Campbell MWR Aquatics to offer Lifeguarding Class

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Gardner Indoor Pool is offering a lifeguard class October 13th-17th (Clarksville/Montgomery County fall break). Class meets from 8:00am to 4:00pm. daily.

The cost for the Lifeguard Class is $120.00 and this includes a CPR certification. All students must be at least 15 years of age prior to the final scheduled session of the course.
