The Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) named Governors head coach Mark Hudspeth and cornerback Kordell Jackson its Coach and Player of the Year, respectively.

Outstanding 2019 Austin Peay State University Football season honored at Night of Champions

 

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) football players, coaches, alumni and fans gathered Friday night to celebrate the historic 2019 season at the Night of Champions in the Dunn Center.

This event put the final bow on a campaign that yielded the program’s first Ohio Valley Conference title since 1977, its first-ever FCS Playoff appearance and resulting trip to the quarterfinals, as well as the program’s first consensus All-American since 2002 and myriad Coach of the Year accolades for the architect of the success, head coach Mark Hudspeth.
