Ford recalls over 2,000,000 vehicles because Doors May Open While Driving

 

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion, 2015 Mustang, 2013-2015 Escape and C-Max, 2012-2015 Focus, 2014-2016 Transit Connect, 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ, and 2015 MKC vehicles.  

A door that is not securely latched could open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant.

The 2015 Ford Focus is one of the models being recalled.

Clarksville Police charge Bailey Roberts with DUI after Crashing Vehicle into House

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have charged Bailey Roberts, age 62, with DUI after crashing a Ford Focus into a house at 879 Greenwood Avenue on Monday, September 9th, 2019, around 6:40pm.

Prior to the crash, a witness had seen Roberts sitting in the Ford Focus stopped in the wrong lane at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Woodard Boulevard and went to check on him.

Clarksville Police responded to a crash on Greenwood Avenue and found that Bailey Roberts had drove his vehicle into the side of a house.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigates Home Invasion on River Road

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in a home invasion that occurred in the 1600 block of River Road.

Kirby Gene Wallace, 53, is white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 157 pounds, with gray hair, hazel eyes, and possible facial hair.

He may be driving a stolen 2013 silver Ford Focus with a Tennessee license plate number 636KTW.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911.

Clarksville Police release name of Motorcycle Fatality

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday morning, May 20th, 2018, Clarksville Police were called to a motorcycle versus car fatality crash around 1:30am.

A Ford Focus driven by Benjamin Wilson, age 21, turned left turn Riverside Drive in front of an oncoming motorcycle ridden by Diamond Dillard, age 25 which was traveling south on Providence Boulevard.

The motorcycle collided with the Ford Focus.

Clarksville Police release fatality names from Motorcycle/Car Accident at Dover Road, Kelsey Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 16th, 2017 Clarksville Police responded to a motorcycle and car crash occurred at Dover Road, near the intersection of Kelsey Drive resulting in a double fatality.

The deceased motorcyclist’s name is William Leidecker, 20, of Clarksville. The deceased driver’s name of the Ford Focus is Kathryn Burwell, 76, of Bradenton Florida.

Clarksville Police report Two killed in Motorcycle/Car Accident at Dover Road, Kelsey Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 16th, 2017 around 12:32pm, Clarksville Police report a motorcycle and car crash occurred at Dover Road, near the intersection of Kelsey Drive resulting in a double fatality.

A 2017 Ford Focus, driven by a 76 year old female, pulled out of a convenience store and was crossing the westbound lane of Dover Road to head east on Dover Road (left turn). A 2009 Harley ridden by a 20 year was traveling west on Dover Road and collided with the car.

Ford Motor Company recalling over 370,000 vehicles because Engine may continue to run after being turned off

 

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured April 1st, 2014, to June 12th, 2015, Ford Focus vehicles manufactured June 17th, 2014, to June 12th, 2015, and Ford C-Max vehicles manufactured April 22nd, 2014, to June 12th, 2015.

In the affected vehicles, the engine may continue to run after the key or the START/STOP engine button is turned to off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, “Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention.”

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Multi-function, cross-linked infotainment systems and the associated in-car electronics are a growing reliability plague for many brands, according to Consumer Reports 2014 Annual Reliability Survey.

First-year models from Infiniti, Jeep, Fiat, Ram, Cadillac, Ford, and Honda have all seen significant problem rates from infotainment bugs and glitches. Clarksville Police update on Friday’s Warfield Boulevard Traffic Accident

Ashley Seus, 24 years old, the driver of the 2008 Ford Focus, suddenly applied her breaks.
