National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Freeze Warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee.

The Freeze Warning is from 1:00am to 9:00am CT Saturday.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Freeze Warning until Monday morning

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee. The freeze warning is in effect starting tonight and goes until Monday morning, November 2nd at 8:00am CT.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 degrees is expected.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The Tennessee Department of AgricultureNashville, TN – Tennessee’s much anticipated strawberry crop will be ready for picking in the next two or three weeks. However, between now and harvest, if current forecasts hold, those berries may have to “take cover” several times to avoid frost damage.

Tennessee weather is predictably unpredictable. It may be spring, but Tennessee typically experiences a few more winter-like periods—called blackberry winter and dogwood winter—before the average late April last-freeze date has passed.

Frost expected for Clarksville-Montgomery County late Saturday night and early Sunday morning

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to easily drop into the 30s across Clarksville-Montgomery County and all of Middle Tennessee by sunrise Sunday.

As a result, frost is expected to develop across most of the mid- state between 4:00am and 9:00am Sunday. A few of the normally colder locations along the highland rim and Cumberland Plateau may even experience a light, short-duration freeze.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) says that as high pressure settles into the region and winds calm down Friday night, temperatures will fall into the middle 30’s across all of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee.

This means frost will once again be possible. Precautions to protect sensitive vegetation will likely be needed as we are into the early stages of planting season. Temperatures should warm enough for frost to dissipate by 8:00am Saturday morning.

Widespread freezing temperatures are expected Friday night.

A cold air mass will settle over the area Friday night and Saturday morning and will allow temperatures to drop to freezing at many locations. Areas of heavy frost will also be likely.
