GPS HospitalityAtlanta, GA – GPS Hospitality, an Atlanta-based franchisee, seeks 45 Pizza Hut drivers in the Nashville/Clarksville area for immediate hire. Interviews will be conducted via video chat.

Pizza Hut is also expediting its hiring and onboarding process to get delivery drivers on the road more rapidly, and ultimately to get customers their pizza quicker.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm Warning, Wind Advisory

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The Nashville Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Northern Dickson County, Northern Cheatham County and Robertson County. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 1:00pm CST for Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee.

At 8:08am CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Elkton Kentucky to 10 miles north of Dickson, moving northeast at 60 mph.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports Blake Ludy captured

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports that Blake Thomas Ludy has been taken into custody at 10:05pm by multiple agencies in Greenbrier, Tennessee.

MCSO would like to thank the Greenbrier Police Department, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol for their assistance in apprehending Ludy.

Ludy was wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for the shooting that occurred Sunday morning at Rotary Park.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigates Sunday morning Shooting Death at Rotary Park

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Early this morning, Sunday, July 28th, 2019, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a shooting that occurred in Rotary Park.

One victim with non-life threatening injuries has been treated and released from a hospital.

It appears that all three men know each other so therefore this incident is not considered a random act of violence.

Blake Thomas Ludy is a suspect in a shooting that occurred at approximately 4:00am, Sunday at Rotary Park.

2016 APSU Homecoming King and Queen Crowned

 

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 22nd Austin Peay State University announced the 2016 APSU Homecoming Court and crowned Homecoming King and Queen during halftime at the Governors football game against Mercer at Fortera Stadium.

Ilyana Capellan a communications major was crowned Homecoming Queen. Capellan from Aliso Viejo, CA was sponsored by Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. She was escorted by her cousin Rico Gardner.

Clarksville Police request Help Identifying Suspects Using Stolen Credit Cards from a Vehicle Burglary in Clarksville

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Greg Rosencrants is trying to identify two suspects using stolen credit cards and is requesting public assistance.

The two suspects used stolen credit cards at multiple stores in Springfield, TN; Greenbrier, TN; Madison, TN; Bolivar, TN; and Nashville, TN. The credit cards were stolen during a Burglary to a Vehicle in Clarksville, TN.

Former Austin Peay State University star athlete, coach and athletic director George Fisher passes away

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – The man known as “Coach” to many and mentor to many others has passed away.

Dr. George Fisher, who was associated with the Austin Peay athletics program from 1946-77 as a star Austin Peay player, standout coach and later as athletics director, died Saturday night. He was 90 years old.

Born July 9th, 1924, the Greenbrier, TN native came to Austin Peay in the mid-1940s and really never left, being involved with APSU and APSU athletics literally for the rest of his life.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting October 10th, 2014

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Friday, October 10th through Wednesday October 15th, from 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating lane closures on SR 12 (Ashland City Road) from just east of Cumberland Drive to the SR 76 (Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy) intersection.

One lane will remain open in each direction.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation nabs Salon Manager in Credit Card Fraud Case

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has obtained indictments for a hair salon manager accused of fraudulently using a customer’s credit card information.

At the request of 19th District Attorney General John Carney, TBI Special Agents began investigating Lori Amber Carter on July 29th.

During the course of the investigation, TBI Agents, along with investigators from the Ridgetop Police Department, developed information that in February, Carter, a manager of Royal Tease Salon in Greenbrier, TN obtained the credit card information of a patron.
