Clarksville, Tn — The Clarksville Police Department report that a man was killed while mishandling a rifle.
Police responded to the 300 block of Ringgold Road, at 4:10am this morning, for a man who was not breathing. When officers arrived, CPR was in progress.
The man, whose identity has not been released, appeared to be in his 20’s and had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed today that a data error resulted in inaccurate accidental gunshot death numbers for 2014 being reported.
After manually reviewing death certificates, TDH reports five people died from accidental gunshot wounds in the state in 2014.
Clarksville, TN – On April 22nd, 2014, Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department Homicide Unit made two additional arrests in the death of 31 year old Mark Walraven of Clarksville Tennessee.
On April 14th, 2014, Walraven was found deceased in a vehicle that crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Lafayette Road and Kelsey Drive. Clarksville, TN – On January 15th, 2013, around 8:30pm, Clarksville Police responded to the area of 31 Lincoln Drive after 911 received a call that a man had been shot in the foot and robbed. According to the caller, he was headed to the APSU campus, flagged down by two men, and was then robbed.
The story quickly unraveled and the true story was revealed after officers arrived on scene and found a 33 year old man inside of his truck who had sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police responded to a frantic 911 call after a three year old child shot himself in the foot.
On July 22nd, around 5:00pm, Police responded to 139 Buttermere Drive in reference to a three year old child that had shot himself in the foot. When officers arrived, they found the three year old child in the kitchen with his mother who was treating the child’s gunshot wound.
The child’s mother was in the kitchen when she heard the gunshot. She found the three year old in the living room with a gunshot wound to the foot. She grabbed the child, took him to the kitchen, applied pressure to the wound, and elevated the foot. The child was transported to Vanderbilt by Lifeflight with non-life threatening injuries.

Clarksville, TN – On January 6th, 2012, around 10:32pm, Clarksville Police officers responded to a call that a man had been shot. Officers arrived and entered the house to find a man and woman inside deceased from gunshot wounds. Police released the second homicide victim’s name today. His name is Derrick D. Sherden, 23, living at 1114 Main Street, Clarksville TN. There is no additional information available at this time.

One Victim’s Name Released, Other Awaits Family Notification
Clarksville, TN – As the investigators processed the crime scene and analyzed information, they determined the deaths of the man and woman inside of the house will be investigated as a double Homicide.
The man and woman were found to have sustained gunshot wounds and a gun was recovered from inside of the residence while processing the scene. The man, 23 years old, and woman, 33 years old inside of the 1114 Main Street have been identified.
Clarksville, TN – On January 6th, 2012, around 10:32pm, Clarksville Police officers were called to the 1100 block of Main Street in reference to a male that had been shot.
When officers arrived on scene and entered the residence they found a man and woman inside that had sustained gunshot wounds and were deceased.
Clarksville, TN – On January 25th, 2010, around 11:24am, officers responded to a shots fired call in Lincoln Homes At 11:28am, a second call was received that advised that a subject had been shot at 18 C Lincoln Drive in Lincoln Homes.
Officers found Vincent Ventron Perry, 25, of Clarksville, deceased inside the apartment, with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
