Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police received a tip that Marty Lynn Mosier was at the gas station located at 109 Dean Road. Sgt James Derico, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, located Mosier at the gas station this morning, Monday, August 13th, 2018 and took him in custody.

On August 9th, 2018 CPD Detective Bartel, was checking residential construction sites at Abby Lou Drive and Whitfield Road, when he saw a blue Toyota truck backed into one of the lots.

Marty Lynn Mosier, wanted for Theft, Evading, and Driving on Suspended License, is in Clarksville Police Custody.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office  says seven hundred and fifty-five children have died from vehicular heatstroke since 1998 with thirteen of those deaths occurring this year according to noheatstroke.org.

Heatstroke is one of the leading causes of non-crash-related fatalities among children.  It occurs when a child is left in a hot vehicle and their core body temperature reaches about 104 degrees. A core body temperature of about 107 degrees is deadly.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies Assaulted

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's OfficeMontgomery County, TN – On the morning of January 24th, 2017, Sergeant James Derico observed a vehicle on Rossview Road traveling twenty miles per hour over the speed limit. Derico initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of International Boulevard.

Sgt. Derico learned that the driver, Michael Anthony Olds, 25, had felony warrants on file for aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm during a felony. Those charges stemmed from a home invasion in Clarksville last year.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was recognized by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) for their extraordinary efforts in traffic safety.

Every year THSO hosts the Law Enforcement Challenge to honor law enforcement agencies across Tennessee for extraordinary efforts in traffic safety. A total of 73 Law Enforcement Challenge applications were submitted from across the state.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office placed 3rd in the Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge.
