Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was recognized by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) for their extraordinary efforts in traffic safety.
Every year THSO hosts the Law Enforcement Challenge to honor law enforcement agencies across Tennessee for extraordinary efforts in traffic safety. A total of 73 Law Enforcement Challenge applications were submitted from across the state.
Applicants competed for award recognition, prizes, and a chance to win a fully equipped police vehicle.
The MCSO placed 3rd in the Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge for Agencies with between 201-500 Sworn Officers.
Sergeant Jimmy Brown, Sergeant James Derico, Corporal Shanna Grice, Deputy Denis Bowles, and Director of Driver Safety Lisa McClain were responsible for gathering all data for the challenge. The data, along with photos, videos, news articles, and descriptions of all traffic safety events and activities were compiled into a Challenge Book and submitted to the THSO for competition.
