Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The public is invited to an upcoming free family-friendly motorcycle event in Clarksville.

Coppers & Choppers, hosted by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Traffic Safety Task Force, will be held Saturday, May 11th from 10:00am to 3:00pm and is open to motorcycles of all types.

The event will kick off at Governor’s Square Mall (2801 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard) and move over to the Clarksville Regional Airport (200A Outlaw Field Road).

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office places in Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was recognized by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) for their extraordinary efforts in traffic safety.

Every year THSO hosts the Law Enforcement Challenge to honor law enforcement agencies across Tennessee for extraordinary efforts in traffic safety. A total of 73 Law Enforcement Challenge applications were submitted from across the state.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office placed 3rd in the Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge.

Montgomery County Driver Safety Program brings ThinkFast Initiative to High Schools

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Driver Safety Program recently brought the ThinkFast Interactive program to students at Montgomery Central High School. ThinkFast Interactive, sponsored by Nissan America and the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office, uses a game show setting to connect young people with factual, relevant information related to various personal health and safety issues such as impaired driving, seat belt safety, and distracted driving.

Montgomery County Driver Safety Program receives Booster Seats

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Driver Safety Program recently received booster seats from MeHarry Medical College on a grant they received through the Tennessee Governors Highway Safety Office. The Drivers Safety Program received 290 booster seats to distribute to local elementary schools.

Each of the 24 Clarksville Montgomery County School System’s (CMCSS) elementary schools received seats, varying in size and age capacity for discretionary distribution.

Lisa was recognized for her exemplary work ethic and performance, along with her commitment and dedication of child passenger safety education and on her efforts to reduce fatalities and injuries on Tennessee highways.

Architectural Heritage Bus Tour Kicks Off 2010 Clarksville Writer’s Conference

Where can you overhear a discussion of the war in ’62 and learn that it’s not Viet Nam being discussed but the War Between the States? Where can you find out a ghost may be lurking right down town in Clarksville? Where can you see tobacco leaves highlighted in the stained glass windows of an exquisite historic church?

The answer to all these questions is the Architectural Heritage Tour that is the first episode in the Sixth Annual Clarksville Writers’ Conference.

Here’s what you missed if you weren’t on the tour conducted by Josh Wright. He co-chaired with Micki Daugherty this year’s tour.
