Clarksville Police Department, City of Clarksville mourn passing of Sue Albertia

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department and the City of Clarksville employee family are mourning the loss of Sue Albertia, 86, who died Saturday, August 8th, 2020.

Mrs. Albertia was CPD’s first female police officer, who took the oath to serve and protect Clarksville citizens after completing the police academy in 1973. She served as a detective and handled cases involving juveniles until her retirement in 1995.

Mark Neblett selected as New Director for Bi-County Solid Waste Management

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019, Mark Neblett was appointed as executive director of the Bi-County Solid Waste Management (SWMS) by the Bi-County Solid Waste Management Board.

Neblett, who has been serving as the interim director since June 2019, has a 28-year work history with Bi-County SWMS. Prior to serving as interim director, he worked as the assistant director of compliance, safety, and development from 2017 to 2019 and as assistant director of operations for from 1992 to 2017.

Montgomery County Health Council creates Mental Health Directory

 

Montgomery County Health CouncilMontgomery County, TN – If you or a family member are experiencing a mental health crisis it can be difficult to find and understand what treatment options are available.

Last year, the Montgomery County Health Council (MCHC) undertook an initiative to create a public directory listing in one document resources available within our community.

Serving as chairman for a one-year term beginning July 1st, is Charlie Koon, Director of Workforce & Economic Development at Workforce Essentials. Koon was named the 2015 Middle Tennessee Workforce Services Employee of the Year by the Tennessee Department of Labor and in 2008 he was named Clarksville’s “Citizen of the Year.”

Nominations Open for Clarksville Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards

 

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for three annual awards: The Ted A. Crozier Sr. Community Commitment Award, Boots to Suits: Veteran of the Year and Young Professional of the Year.

Nominations must be received at the Chamber by Friday, April 7th 3027 and winners will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 9th.
