Cunningham, TN – Montgomery Central High School’s Girls Soccer lost 4-1 at home Tuesday, October 19th, 2016 to the Page High School Patriots from Franklin Tennessee in the first round of Regional 6A-AA Semifinal play.
The Lady Indians struck first when Darian Bricker broke free behind the Patriots defenders to land her shot on goal at the 11 minute mark. Page would answer three minutes later with a goal of their own knotting the contest at 1-1.
Clarksville, TN – Montgomery Central High School’s girls basketball team remained winless on the season after seeing Greenbrier High School knocking down 11 shots from behind the three-point arc, Monday, December 1st at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, as the Lady Indians fell to the Lady Bobcats 65-28.
The foreshadowing of what was to come against the Lady Indians (0-5) started right off the bat, as the first three baskets made by Greenbrier (6-2) on the night came from behind the arc – with Amanda Bennett getting things going, while Kayla Jerrell banged in back-to-back 3s to give the Lady Bobcats an 9-2 lead 4:30 into the game.
Clarksville, TN – Last year Clarksville Academy’s volleyball team defeated East Robertson High School to hand them their first loss in district play, but there was no repeat of the upset September 23rd, with the Lady Cougars falling to the Lady Indians in three straight games by scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-22.
Trouble handing the East Robertson (19-9, 8-0 District 10-A) service hampered the Lady Cougars, who currently sit in third-place in the district standing having suffered all of its district losses to East Robertson and Nashville Christian School – the top two teams in the district standings. «Read the rest of this article»
Cunningham, TN – The hot bats of August Rodenbaber and Rachel Nelson drove the Montgomery Central Lady Indians softball team to a 7-4 victory at home against the West Creek Lady Coyotes Wednesday, April 2nd.
Rodenbaber and Nelson combined to bring in all seven of the Lady Indians runs.
Rodenbaber went 3-for-3 at the plate, hitting 3 RBI doubles in the game. Her last double brought in two runs. Nelson batted 2-for-3 with an RBI single and an RBI triple. Her last at bat was a sac fly that brought in another run.
Cunningham, TN – When you’re facing one of the top teams in your district you hope to have all your players healthy and ready to face the challenge.
Well, that wasn’t the case for the Montgomery Central High School girls basketball team, January 22nd at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, as the Lady Indians were down to their third-string point guard against a defensively strong Stewart County High School squad, coming away with a 63-16 loss.
Cunningham, TN – Montgomery Central High School came out and dominated the opening quarter, January 9th, in their District 11-AA contest versus Hickman County High School at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, but the final three quarters weren’t kind to the Lady Indians as they fell to the Lady Bulldogs, 53-36.
The Lady Indians (5-8, 1-4 District 11-AA) jumped out to a quick start scoring 10 of the first 14 points of the game to lead by six, midway through the opening period.
Hickman County would rally to tie the game by going on a 6-0 run over a span of 57 seconds to knot the score at 10-10, with 2:03 left.
Dover, TN – Montgomery Central High School never got its offense into any type of rhythm, December 28th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the semifinal of the Stewart County High School Christmas Tournament, as the Lady Indians fell to the tournament host Stewart County, 65-40.
The loss will drop the Lady Indians (5-5) into a matchup against White House High School on December 30th at 4:30pm, while Stewart County advances to the tournament finals at 7:30p.m. to face Clarksville High School, who defeated Camden High School, 44-32 in the other semifinal game.
Dover, TN – Montgomery Central High School broke open a two-point halftime advantage over Northwest High School, December 27th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the first round of the Stewart County High School Christmas Tournament, as the Lady Indians outscoring the Lady Vikings 29-16 to pull away for a 56-41 victory.
Holding a slim 27-25 advantage after the first two quarters, Montgomery Central (5-4) opening the second half with a 13-1 run over the first 3:14 beginning with a traditional three-point play by Tori Moore – just 21 seconds into the second half – and ending with a bucket by Mallory Flake at the 4:46 mark.
Dover, TN – Clarksville High School girls basketball team didn’t allow White House High School to break into double figures in any of its four quarters, December 27th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the first round of the Stewart County High School Christmas Tournament, as the Lady Wildcats rolled to a 47-24 victory.
The game was never in question, as Clarksville High (6-5) scored the first 10 points of the contest – including seven coming from Haley Bearden, who led all scorers with 16 points.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy played one of its best half’s of basketball, December 20th at Procter Court, but saw East Robertson explode for 22 third-quarter points on its way to defeating the Lady Cougars in their District 10-A contest, 58-36.
Trailing by five points, 21-15 at halftime, Clarksville Academy (0-9, 0-4 District 10-A) opened up the second half by getting two free throws from Anna Cherry to cut the deficit to three, but East Robertson would score the next 13 points — including three 3s – to double up the Lady Cougars. 34-17, with 3:56 left in the third quarter.
