Tennessee Department of Economic and Community DevelopmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and FNS Group officials today announced the company will build a new facility to expand its Clarksville operations.

The project represents an investment of $33.4 million and the creation of 62 jobs.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – When Soseul Park first arrived in Mexico, she didn’t expect to hear so much Korean popular music – or K-pop – on the radio. Songs by BTS and Red Velvet – songs she heard all the time back home in Busan, South Korea – kept following her through the Latin American nation, and whenever she met someone new, they usually wanted to talk about their favorite K-pop bands.

Tennessee Department of Economic and Community DevelopmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, the Department of Economic and Community Development and LG Electronics Inc. officials today announced the company will build a new home appliance manufacturing facility in Clarksville.

The global manufacturer, with headquarters in South Korea, is a leader in appliances, electronics and mobile devices. LG will invest $250 million in the facility, creating at least 600 new jobs in Montgomery County.

What to Consider Before Buying a 3D TV

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – In its first-ever ranking of 3D performance, Consumer Reports evaluated 14 3D TV models and found that plasma TVs are better at displaying 3D images than LCD sets, primarily because they exhibit less ghosting, or double images that appear even when wearing 3D glasses. Three plasma models from Panasonic exhibited the best 3D picture quality and the least ghosting of all the sets tested. The report appears in the December Annual Electronics issue and online at www.ConsumerReports.org.

“It remains to be seen whether 3D TV is just a novelty or a new product category in the consumer electronics space,” said Paul Reynolds, electronics editor for Consumer Reports. “But, our tests show that there are some fine 3D TV sets out there for those consumers eager for a new experience.” «Read the rest of this article»
