Tennessee Titans look to take next step forward

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Tennessee Titans executive vice president/general manager Jon Robinson and head coach Mike Vrabel hope to take the next step with a Titans team that was one game from the Super Bowl in 2019. The Titans fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game, ending a memorable run on the heels of a 2-4 start to the regular season.

They finished the season at 9-7, earned a wild card berth, and then went on the road to knock off the New England Patriots and the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the first two playoff rounds, respectively.

Tennessee Titans’ GM Ruston Webster enters Fourth NFL Draft

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The selection process will be the fourth for the Tennessee Titans overseen by General Manager Ruston Webster, who was named general manager on January 18th, 2012. His first three drafts yielded 21 total players, and 18 of those finished the 2014 season on the 53-man roster or injured reserve.

Webster spearheaded the selection of six players in the 2014 NFL Draft: Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan (first round), Washington running back Bishop Sankey (second round), Penn State defensive lineman DaQuan Jones (fourth round), Wyoming defensive back Marqueston Huff (fourth round), Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson (fifth round) and Louisiana State quarterback Zach Mettenberger (sixth round).

Wounded Warriors recognized during Music City Bowl

 

Tennessee National GuardNashville, TN – Eight wounded warriors, their families, and two Gold Star families were invited as special guests through Humana’s Wounded Warriors Program to the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville. The group arrived at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville on Sunday, December 28th and attended bowl game festivities the next two days.

Franklin American Mortgage provided several tables for the group at the Franklin American Mortgage Coaches Luncheon, held at the Wildhorse Saloon on Monday, December 29th.

Eight wounded warriors, their families, and two Gold Star families were invited to the Franklin American Mortgage Music City bowl to be honored during each event leading up to the game on Dec. 30, 2014. Before the game, the group stood on the field during the singing of the national anthem.

Tennessee Titans have 90 Players with 53 Spots to fill

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Little time separates the Tennessee Titans from the launch of training camp to the start of the preseason. On Saturday, August 9th, exactly two weeks from the first practice, Tennessee plays its first of four preseason games, hosting the Green Bay Packers at LP Field.

Furthermore, the Titans have a mere 43 days from the outset of camp until their regular season schedule kicks off September 7th in Kansas City versus the Chiefs.

APSU Men’s Tennis to have Three Govs at 2013 ITA All-American Championships

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – A trio of Austin Peay State University men’s tennis players will represent the Govs at the 2013 ITA Men’s All-American Championships, hosted by Tulsa.

Senior Jasmin Ademovic and juniors Dimitar Ristovski and Aleksas Tverijonas will compete in the Pre-Qualifying format, beginning Saturday, September 28th at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, OK.
