Clarksville Transit SystemClarksville, TN – Effective Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 due to construction in Veterans Plaza the Route 5, Hilldale buses and the Route 6, Madison Street buses will not be able to go into the parking lot of Veterans Plaza.

Clarksville Police are Looking for an Aggravated Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are looking for a man that committed an Aggravated Robbery of the “Medicine Shoppe”, 1500 Madison Street, around 6:00pm today.

Lucian Charles Buchholz walked into the Medicine Shoppe, handed the clerk a note demanding drugs and indicating that he had a handgun, even though one was never displayed. After he was given the drugs, he fled the store, and left in a red Ford Explorer with a possible Tennessee Tag of, 501 ZND. Woman Robbed Making a Night Deposit

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On August 31st, around 9:20pm, a woman making a night deposit for a pizza business was robbed at gunpoint.  An 18 year was at a bank’s drive thru night deposit at the 1800 Block of Madison Street when she was approached by a white female who pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.

CDE Power Outage

 

Clarksville Department of ElectricityClarksville, TN – As of 8:00am 5/26/11, we estimate 3,000 customers remain without power due to the severe storm that rolled through Clarksville overnight.

There are trees down and wire down in many areas within the city limits.

Clarksville Department of ElectricityClarksville, TN – As of 1:30pm, 6,000 CDE customers are without power. Circuits still down in the New Providence are as follows: Darlene Drive, Zachary Drive, Charlemagne Blvd, Fort Campbell Blvd from Fountain Bleau to West Concord Road, and West Concord Road.

There are two circuits still down in the Hilldale area; Paradise Hill Road from Thompkins to Heitts, Oriole Circle, Gary Hills, Golf Club Lane from Thompkins to Madison Street, Old Ashland City Road from Golf Club Lane to Alma Lane, Memorial Drive from Madison Street to Haynes Street, Haynes Street, Eastern Hills Drive, Valley Drive, Uffleman Drive. «Read the rest of this article»

Increased Traffic Enforcement on Madison Street

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department wants to make the public aware that there will be additional officers performing traffic enforcement on Madison Street starting April 18th. There have been citizen complaints equating Madison Street to a “Raceway”. 

There will be increased attention on traffic violations especially speeding, following too closely, and reckless driving.

Assistance needed to Identify Robbery Suspect
