National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution hold Awards Dinner

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – On Thursday, August 8th, 2019, the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR) held their annual Public Service Award.

This year’s award recipients were Lieutenant Cliff Smith from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Paramedic Russell “Andy” Merritt from the Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services, and District Assistant Chief Shaun Arms from the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service.

Clarksville Police release update on tanker truck crash at Dunbar Cave and Warfield Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police reported today that a crash between a sedan and a tanker truck blocked traffic and left a woman trapped inside the sedan, shortly before 2:00pm, Monday, January 23rd at Dunbar Cave Road and Warfield Boulevard.

Clarksville Fire Rescue and Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services personnel collaborated in safely extracting the female occupant of the sedan, who was trapped with when the tanker trailer came to rest on top of her vehicle.

Clarksville Police reports sedan and tanker truck wreck at Dunbar Cave and Warfield Boulevard as well as a crash at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lafayette Road.

Montgomery County Emergency Service Personal head to East Tennessee to assist in Wildfires

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services (MCEMS) and Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service have answered the call for assistance for the wildfires in East Tennessee.

Currently five MCEMS personnel and 14 volunteer fire personnel are in route to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area to provide assistance to the emergency personnel already on the scene.

Montgomery County Government receives two Greater Nashville Regional Council Local Government Awards

The annual event held this year in Lebanon, TN, presented awards to various cities and counties for programs and initiatives that have exhibited excellence and innovation over that last calendar year. Montgomery County was recognized in two categories; Enhancing Economic Development and Enhancing Protective Services.

Clarksville 9/11 ceremony to be held this Sunday

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Fire Rescue will present its annual community wide 9/11 Ceremony at 6:00pm Sunday, September 11th at the city’s main fire station, 802 Main Street. The public is invited.

The ceremony honors the commitment and ultimate sacrifice of hundreds of New York City Firefighters who selflessly responded after the World Trade Center’s twin towers were attacked by terrorists on September 11th, 2001.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigates Shooting Death in Cumberland Furnace

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at 3:51pm, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office respond to a 911 call at 3630 Houston Road in Cumberland Furnace regarding a shooting.

Benjamin Luck, 33, called 911 stating he had shot his wife.

Upon arrival, deputies located a shooting victim, Daria Paulina Luck, 35, in the home. Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Four Montgomery County Parks have Automated External Defibrillators available

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department and Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services (MCEMS) have joined forces to provide life saving equipment and training for four of the county parks.

The Parks and Recreation staff spent Thursday morning being trained by MCEMS Assistant Chief Bill Webb on how to properly use Automated External Defibrillators (AED) that will soon be installed in Woodlawn Park, Civitan Park, RichEllen Park and South Guthrie Community Center.
