Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball team hits the hardwood once again on Tuesday night for a clash with SEC foe and in-state rival Vanderbilt. Tipoff inside Thompson-Boling Arena is set for 5:30pm CT and the action can be seen on SEC Network.

Tuesday’s game can be seen on SEC Network, online through WatchESPN and on any mobile device through the ESPN App. Fans can access WatchESPN at espn.com/watch. Tom Hart, Andy Kennedy and Alyssa Lang will have the call.

Tennessee Men’s Basketball downs Vanderbilt, 65-45

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – A dominant defensive effort and a 21-5 run to begin the second half allowed the Tennessee men’s basketball team to push past Vanderbilt, 66-45, Saturday inside Memorial Gym.

The result improved UT’s record to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in SEC play, while Vanderbilt fell to 8-9 overall and 0-4 in league action.

Senior Jordan Bowden led the Tennessee offense, finishing with 21 points while shooting 7-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Juniors John Fulkerson and Yves Pons each added 12 points for the Vols.

APSU Men’s Basketball come up short at Tulsa

 

APSU Women's BasketballTulsa, OK – On the road, close and late, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team nearly toppled Tulsa in an exhilarating contest at the Reynolds Center, ultimately succumbing to the Golden Hurricane in a 72-65 affair.

The Govs (1-2) fell behind early, trailing 10-2 less than three minutes into the game and by 10 after Brandon Rachal scored the Golden Hurricane’s (3-1) first 14 points to stake a 14-4 lead.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Coming off its first loss in SEC play, the fifth-ranked Tennessee Vols will look to bounce back against in-state rival Vanderbilt Tuesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The game will tip at 6:00pm CT and will be televised on ESPN and can also be viewed online through WatchESPN. Fans can listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp describing the action. Tickets for the game are still available at AllVols.com.

The game has been tabbed as Donate Life Night. “The goal for Donate Life Night is to encourage Tennessee fans to take action and register as donors,” said Tennessee Assistant Athletics Director Tom Satkowiak, who underwent an 11-hour liver transplant surgery in October.

#1 Tennessee Vols Basketball wins overtime thriller at Vanderbilt, 88-83

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – Player of the Year candidate Grant Williams posted one of the dominant performances in program history to lift No. 1 Tennessee Vols to a 88-83 victory in overtime against Vanderbilt in Memorial Gym on Wednesday night.
 
Williams finished with a career-high 43 points, eight rebounds, four blocks, two assists and a key steal to carry the Vols (17-1, 6-0 SEC) to their 13th-consecutive win. It was the most points scored in a game by a Vol since Allan Houston also dropped 43 against LSU on February 10th, 1990. It was tied for the fifth-most points in a single game in school history.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – A career night by Grant Williams lifted the 24th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers to a 92-84 victory over in-state rival Vanderbilt at Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Williams finished with a career-high 37 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds, three blocks and a pair of assists. Admiral Schofield posted his second straight 20-point performance, tying his career-high with 22 points to go with a game-high nine rebounds.

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – Behind a standout first appearance in an Austin Peay uniform from freshman Terry Taylor, Austin Peay State University men’s basketball delivered a solid 95-78 win against Sewanee in exhibition action, Saturday night, in the Dunn Center.

Taylor was electric in his first contest as a Gov, hitting all nine shot attempts from the floor. The wing from Bowling Green scored 24 points and snatched 12 rebounds, pacing an aggressive Austin Peay offensive attack.
