This will allow staff members to contact and assist citizens with their owner release.

Tennessee Department of Health creates tool to help reunite Lost Pets with Owners

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health has created a web-based resource to use rabies vaccination tags to help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Those who find stray pets wearing TDH rabies tags can now use this tool on the TDH website to search for and identify the veterinarians who vaccinated the animals, who can then help with information to find the owners.

Montgomery County Animal Care and Control waves adoption fees through February 18th

 

Montgomery County Animal Care and ControlMontgomery County, TN -Montgomery County Animal Care and Control is waiving adoption fees during the week of Valentine’s Day (February 13th-18th) to help unite pets with their sweethearts. Animals who are already spayed or neutered can go home for $12.00. Adoption fees will be waived for the entire week.

In addition, a discounted microchipping event will be held Saturday, February 18th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Clarksville No Kill event at Montgomery County Animal Control this Saturday

 

Saturday Event to Benefit Shelter Dogs and Cats

Humane Society of Clarksville – Montgomery County (HSCMC)Clarksville, TN – Dozens of volunteers and local animal advocates have organized an outreach and fundraising event that will be held in the parking lot of Montgomery County Animal Control, 616 North Spring Street, this Saturday, June 15th between 10:00am-4:00pm.

Saturday’s event is inspired by a nationwide effort known as the National No Kill Movement, which challenges animal shelters, animal advocates and communities across the nation to do better. Per the organization’s website: The leading cause of deaths among healthy dogs and cats in the United States is due to killing in shelters.
