Clarksville, TN – This Sunday, January 27th, 2019 Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) Southeastern Grasslands Initiative (SGI) will host its inaugural Volunteer Day, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Dunbar Cave State Park.

Nashville, TN – Older adults are invited to enjoy free admission at Nashville Zoo courtesy of Cigna-HealthSpring, Wednesday, October 7th. Adults ages 65 and older will receive a complimentary Zoo admission, parking validation and a $5.00 concessions voucher.
Senior Day activities will take place throughout the Zoo from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The young and young-at-heart can enjoy special keeper talks, rides on the Wild Animal Carousel and interactive encounters with outreach animals along the Zoo paths. Additionally, Cigna-HealthSpring and several of its local partners will be on hand at the centrally-located Jungle Terrace area to provide educational materials, offer wellness information and answer questions.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is serving as a partner in a new weekly-television program, Tennessee Uncharted which hits the air waves in November.
The 30-minute show can be seen on PBS stations across the state on the Tennessee Channel. The program will showcase the outdoors including unique locations, techniques and traditions in the Volunteer State.
Nashville, TN – Come welcome the arrival of fall at Nashville Zoo’s Harvest Days set for September 27th and 28th. The annual festival celebrating the tradition of harvest season features live music, activities, special animal presentations and more.
Harvest Days take place around the Zoo’s Croft Home. Blacksmiths, weavers, woodcarvers and other artisans will be demonstrating 19th century trades, while guests try their hand at old-time activities, such as cider making and butter churning.
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Honors Program is partnering with the Nashville Film Festival, Nashville Public Television and Lipscomb University to bring documentaries on social issues to the Middle Tennessee community this fall.
