Nashville Predators fall to the Colorado Avalanche 9-4

Nashville PredatorsDenver, CO – The Nashville Predators suffered one of the most humiliating losses tonight at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche, 9-4.  The nine goals against is a franchise record for the Predators in their NHL history.

In a game that, on paper at least, is one that Nashville was expected to win, it was just the opposite as the Avs put the pressure on Nashville right from the start.

With a back up goalie and several of their top line stars out of the line-up, Colorado played like a team on a mission to prove that they could play without their high dollar players, and they did.

Nashville Predators fall to the Colorado Avalanche 3-2

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators couldn’t get head coach Peter Laviolette his 200th victory as the Nashville bench boss tonight as the Colorado Avalanche proved to be too much, winning in Nashville, 3-2.

Colorado was led by Nathan MacKinnon who scored twice on the night and ended Nashville’s 11 game win streak against the Avs, and also ended Nashville’s six-game home win streak.

The Predators got on the board first when Ryan Hartman scored off of a rebound to put Nashville ahead 1-0.

Nashville Predators fall to Colorado Avalanche 5-3

Nashville PredatorsDenver, CO – The Nashville Predators dug themselves into a deep hole early in this game and were unable to recover as the Colorado Avalanche cut the series lead down to 2-1 with a 5-3 victory tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne was pulled in the second period after the Avs scored four goals on fifteen shots to take a commanding lead. Juuse Saros finished the game and held the Avs to one goal.

Colorado jumped all over the Predators from the start and combined with the slow start the Predators have been notorious for, it didn’t bode well for the Preds.
