Nissan recalls over 800,000 vehicles because Secondary Hood Latch may Bind, not Latch

 

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports  Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Nissan Altima vehicles manufactured March 6th, 2012, to December 31st, 2014.

In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.

If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Certain model year 2013-2015 Nissan Altima vehicles are being recalled because Secondary Hood Latch may Bind and not Latch.

(Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles.

An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Nissan recalling over 460,000 Rogue vehicles due to possible electrical short, fire

 

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured March 7th, 2007, to November 26th, 2013, and 2014 Nissan Rogue Select vehicles manufactured September 23rd, 2013, to July 2nd, 2014.

The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.
