APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – For its final 2018-19 regular-season appearance in the Dunn Center, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team put on a show.

After a first half back-and-forth against a UT Martin team fighting for its life among the Ohio Valley Conference’s swollen middle-class, the Govs blew away the Skyhawks in the second half to remain in the hunt for a two-day bye into the upcoming OVC Tournament semifinals after a 92-78 win on Senior Night.

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – It was a good Saturday night for Austin Peay State University men’s basketball.

Thanks to a thrilling 60-57 win against Jacksonville State (18-11, 9-7 OVC) and some movement around the conference, the Governors (16-12, 11-5 OVC) find themselves all alone in third place in the Ohio Valley Conference standings, two games clear of their closest competition after the Gamecocks, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech all suffered losses.

APSU Basketball unable to contain Murray State in 84-63 loss

APSU Men's BasketballMurray, KY – Round One of the men’s basketball portion of the 2017-18 Heritage Bank Battle of the Border went to archrival Murray State, which held off Austin Peay State University men’s basketball in an 84-63 decision at the CFSB Center, Thursday.

The loss drops the Governors to 14-11, 9-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Racers improve to 19-5, 11-2 in the league, to remain in second place.

The First ESPEAY Awards were awarded Thursday night in the APSU Dunn Center, with Tearra Banks, Dre Gleason, Alex Robles and Kaylnn Pitts emerging with some of the evening’s top prizes.

APSU Baseball’s Dre Gleason becomes first Gov named to Golden Spikes Watch List

APSU BaseballDurham, NC – Austin Peay State University senior first baseman Dre Gleason was named to the 40-player midseason Golden Spikes Award Watch List, Wednesday, by USA Baseball.

It is the first time a Governors athlete has been named to the watch list for the Golden Spikes Award, presented annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country.

APSU BaseballClarksville, TN – On Thursday, April 13th, Austin Peay’s baseball team will begin a five-game road trip when it visits Eastern Kentucky for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series.

The Govs and Colonels will begin the series with a 6:00pm (CT), Thursday contest followed by a 5:00pm (CT), Friday matchup. A noon (CT), Saturday affair will conclude the series.
