Clarksville Police release update on finding Hit-and-Run Driver

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that on March 6th, 2020 around 1:30pm the Ford F-150 was located in Robertson County.

The Ford F-150 was involved in a hit and run on Tuesday, March 3rd, of a male subject who was struck while crossing New Providence Boulevard near Powers Street.

The car is described as a White Ford F-150, 2011-2014 model with damage to the driver’s side mirror and possibly a broken driver’s side window.

Clarksville Police seek help locating Hit-and-Run Driver

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 at approximately 6:20pm a male subject was crossing New Providence Boulevard near Powers Street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on New Providence Boulevard.

The male was critically injured and lifeflighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he remains in critical but stable condition. The vehicle which struck the victim fled from the scene.

The Hispanic Organization for Progress & Education helped feed the needy this Thanksgiving

 

Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education (H.O.P.E.)Clarksville, TN – Around 30 volunteers gathered in the basement of Forest Street United Methodist Church  yesterday to parcel out what will become a Thanksgiving bonanza for the poor and needy in our community. The Hispanic Organization for Progress & Education (H.O.P.E.) each year prepares and distributes Thanksgiving food baskets to people who applied at the Community Action Agency and other area organizations. “Applicants received food baskets custom tailored to their specific families needs.” said H.O.P.E. President Elizabeth Vasquez-Adamski.

Water Outage and Partial Road Closure on Providence Boulevard

 

Thursday, August 12th, 7:00pm.

Clarksville Gas & Water DepartmentProvidence Boulevard will be closed to one lane of traffic from Oak Street to Peachers Mill Road beginning Thursday, August 12th, at 7:00pm to early Friday morning at 3:00am while Gas and Water construction workers replace two water valves near the intersection of Providence Boulevard and Powers Street.

This section of Providence Boulevard will be without water service during the repair work and will include E Street from the Boulevard to Oak Street and from Oak Street to D Street during the repair work.

Weakened Ike brings high wind, minimal damage as it passes Tennessee

 

The remnants of Hurricane Ike swept a wide curve west of  Montgomery County before racing northeast and away. Along the way, though, its winds, gusting up to 60 mph in the Clarksville area, whipped a flurry of branches, pine cones and other debris into yards and across roadways. Rainfall from Ike was minimal here as well.

One unlucky homeowner on Powers Street fared less well than most, as mature tree had a huge portion of its limbs torn off by Ike’s windpower.
