Doubleheader features 3:35pm CT and 7:35pm CT Contests Set For Tomorrow
Tacoma, WA – The Nashville Sounds scheduled game tonight at Tacoma has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up as a day-night doubleheader tomorrow.
The first game will be played at 3:35pm CT. Zach Neal (7-9, 3.94) is expected to get the ball against the Rainiers Adrian Samson 2-3, 6.91.
Former AL Cy Young runner-up Chien Ming Wang (3-4, 5.50) is expected to start for the home team in the night cap. The Sounds are yet to name a starter.
Nashville, TN – Wednesday night’s game between the Nashville Sounds and Memphis Redbirds at First Tennessee Park has been suspended due to rain. The game will be made up on Thursday as part of a doubleheader that will begin at 6:05pm.
The second game will follow approximately 30 minutes from the end of the first game and will be a seven-inning contest. The Redbirds will turn to top prospect Marco Gonzalez (0-2, 6.13) in the latter game, while the Sounds will give the ball to Barry Zito (7-7, 3.64).

Doubleheader Scheduled For Sunday At Greer
Nashville, TN – Saturday night’s scheduled 6:35pm game between the Nashville Sounds and Memphis Redbirds at Greer Stadium has been postponed due to rain.
The teams will make up the game as part of a 2:05pm CT doubleheader on Sunday afternoon (April 28) at Greer, when the two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games. Gates open at 1:00pm.
Doubleheader Scheduled For June 28th
Nashville, TN – Thursday night’s scheduled 7:05pm homestand finale between the Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City RedHawks has been postponed due to heavy rains in the mid-state area which have resulted in unplayable field conditions.
The game will be made up as part of a 6:05pm doubleheader on Friday, June 28th during the RedHawks’ next visit to Music City.
Colorado Springs, CO – Wednesday evening’s scheduled opener of a four-game series between the Nashville Sounds and Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Security Service Field was postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a 6:00pm CT scheduled doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning contetsts on Thursday evening.
Right-hander Mike Fiers (3-0, 2.25) will start game one for the Sounds against lefty Clayton Mortensen (1-5, 9.82). In the twinbill nightcap, Nashville southpaw Sam Narron (5-4, 4.30) will toe the rubber against Sky Sox right-hander Greg Reynolds (5-5, 6.58).
Nashville, Albuquerque To Play July 15th Doubleheader
Nashville, TN – Sunday afternoon’s scheduled 2:05pm series finale between the Nashville Sounds and Albuquerque Isotopes has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Greer Stadium resulting from heavy overnight rains in Middle Tennessee.

APSU Men’s Baseball
Murray, KY – Austin Peay’s baseball team was unable to get its Ohio Valley Conference schedule underway as rain washed out Saturday’s action at Murray State’s Reagan Field. The Govs and Thoroughbreds will now play a noon, Sunday doubleheader with two seven-inning contests scheduled, according to league policy.
Both games will be broadcast on WVRY 105.1 FM and simulcast via streaming audio on www.LetsGoPeay.com. However, due to a previously scheduled broadcast, the game will be joined in progress at noon.
Nashville Will Play Back-To-Back Twinbills In Oklahoma City On Wednesday and Thursday
Oklahoma City, OK – Tuesday evening’s doubleheader between the Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City RedHawks at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark was postponed due to rain.
The teams will make up the two contests in back-to-back doubleheaders on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday’s doubleheader will begin at 3:05pm CT. Left-hander Chase Wright (7-8, 4.94) is scheduled to start Wednesday’s first game for the Sounds opposite right-hander Omar Beltre (3-8, 2.53). Left-hander Chuck Lofgren (7-8, 5.14) toes the rubber in the nightcap for Nashville against Doug Mathis (5-6, 5.75).
Thursday’s doubleheader start time has not yet been announced.
