Sounds Homestand Finale Rained Out

Nashville, Albuquerque To Play July 15th Doubleheader

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Sunday afternoon’s scheduled 2:05pm series finale between the Nashville Sounds and Albuquerque Isotopes has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Greer Stadium resulting from heavy overnight rains in Middle Tennessee.

It marks the third consecutive season in which the Sounds have been rained out on May 1st.

The game will be made up as part of a 5:35pm CT doubleheader on Friday, July 15th at Greer Stadium. Both contests of the twinbill will be scheduled for seven innings.

Tickets for today’s game (May 1st) may be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value, pending availability, to any remaining 2011 Sounds regular-season home game. Please visit the Greer Stadium box office to exchange your tickets.

The Sounds fly to Oklahoma City in the morning to begin an eight-game road trip with Monday’s 7:05pm CT series opener against the RedHawks (AAA-Astros). Right-hander Josh Butler (1-1, 4.85) will make the start for Nashville to face Oklahoma City southpaw Douglas Arguello (1-1, 3.72).

Baseball returns to Greer Stadium on Tuesday, May 10th, when the Sounds open an eight-game homestand against Fresno and Sacramento.
