Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University basketball will be heavily featured at the American Cancer Society’s Nashville Coaches vs. Cancer Tennessee Tip-Off event, scheduled for 6:00pm, Thursday, September 28th, 2017 on Vanderbilt’s campus.
Presented by the Loveless Cafe in the Vanderbilt Commodore Ballroom at Vanderbilt’s Student Life Center on 25th Avenue, this event boosts enthusiasm for the upcoming basketball season, shares team predictions, and recognizes and cultivates relationships with the team’s supporters.

Austin Peay State University alumnus Brad Loos to speak at APSU Summer Commencement
Clarksville, TN – Brad Loos, major gifts officer with the University of Missouri’s Tiger Scholarship Fund, will deliver the address at APSU’s 2017 Summer Commencement at 2:00pm, Friday, August 11th, in the Dunn Center.
Prior to joining the Tiger Scholarship Fund, Loos spent 15 years as a college basketball coach, including three years at the University of Missouri.

APSU Governors-Racers to serve as #RallyforRhyan Game

Clarksville, TN – When Austin Peay State University faces Murray State, 6:30pm, Saturday, the contest will be more than just the annual rivalry. It will be Coaches vs. Cancer “Rally for Rhyan Game” as well.
Rhyan is Rhyan Loos, the 5-year-old daughter of Jen and Brad Loos, who is a University of Missouri basketball assistant and former basketball Gov. She is the granddaughter of APSU basketball coach Dave Loos and his wife Phyllis. In October, Rhyan Loos was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a form of cancer found in children 5-years old and younger. By the time Rhyan’s cancer was diagnosed it already had spread into her bone marrow and bloodstream.

Clarksville, TN – With Christmas this Friday and in the spirit of the season, here is want I hope the Austin Peay State University coaching staff find under their trees or in their stockings this year.
For Governors men’s basketball coach Dave Loos a return to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament after a three-year absence. The 26-year Govs mentor has 22 appearances in the tournament; number 23 would be a great present for the veteran coach.

Instant Peay Play: Loos family getting nation-wide support after getting devastating news
Clarksville, TN – A little over a week ago all Austin Peay head men’s basketball coach Dave Loos had to worry about was getting his team ready for the up-coming season – his 26th as the Governors head coach.
Well, that all changed when his son Brad, who is an assistant basketball coach at the University of Missouri, and wife Jen learned their five-year old daughter Ryhan – his granddaughter – was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone cancer in her leg.
The news had to be unimaginable and a nightmare that no family should have to go through with a child.
