Clarksville AcademyClarksville, TN – The 65th Annual Tennessee YMCA Youth In Government Capitol Conference was held March 1st-4th, 2018 in the State Capitol in Nashville.

Clarksville Academy had 29 delegates participate in the Youth Legislature conference.

Clarksville Transit System’s “Spooky Special” set to roll for Halloween

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – For Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, the Spooky Special is a happy place.

Riding the custom-decorated bus on the Hilldale route Saturday, she sang “The Wheels on the Bus” with a toddler, cheerfully helped passengers in wheel chairs navigate the bus aisle, and greeted each Clarksville Transit System rider and employee with a big smile – all while sporting a really classy pirate costume.

First Thursday ArtWalk in Historic Downtown Clarksville March 1st

 

Historic Downtown ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Historic Downtown Clarksville Association (DCA), is proud to announce the First Thursday ArtWalk for March, 2012.

This months artwalk will be held on March 1st, 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and as always will be held in the shops and galleries on Public Square, Franklin Street, Strawberry Alley, Main Street and Second Street. Participating merchants include The Framemaker, Ingredients, Rogate’s Boutique, ARTifacts, Hodgepodge, and many more.

As always, this is a free event so bring your family and friends downtown to the Artwalk.

December’s First Thursday ArtWalk

 

Historic Downtown Clarksville You’re invited to join the merchants of Historic Downtown Clarksville for The monthly Art Walk, on November 5th from 5 – 8 p.m.

The December First Thursday Art Walk is bigger than ever this month with exhibits from over 40 artists in 9 different venues, including the Customs House Museum, and the brand new Austin Peay Downtown Art Gallery.

Come spend an delightful evening with many of the best artists in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

APSU Art Department Faculty to Display Work at New Downtown Gallery

 

APSU Downtown Art Gallery One of the reasons Austin Peay State University opened a gallery in downtown Clarksville was to offer its department of art faculty with an off-campus venue to display their work.

A little less than a month after that space first opened, these professors are doing just that. At 5 p.m. on Dec. 3, the APSU Department of Art Faculty Exhibit opens with a reception to correspond with the First Thursday Art Walk through downtown Clarksville.
