Clarksville Brawling Beauties roller derby boutClarksville, TN – On Thursday, June 20th at 6:00pm, the ClarksVillians Roller Girls hosted a roller derby bout “Clarksville Brawling Beauties” with the Red River Sirens at the Clarksville Speedway as part of the Clarksville Fair weekend.

The teams were broken down into two groups, the White Lightning and the Blackouts.

Clarksville’s Red River Sirens’ Zombie Guts and Glory 5k Fun Run

 

Red River SirensClarksville, TN – Clarksville Roller Derby’s team the Red River Sirens held their first annual Zombie 5k ‘Guts & Glory’ run on Saturday, June 15th.

The day featured zombie themed 5k race and 1 mile kids fun run.  Both zombies and survivors were well represented.

Zombies chased the survivors and attempted to snatch flag football style flags in order to infect them. Most did not make it.

Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens host 2nd Annual Scaryokie Karaoke Contest

Well here’s your chance to put all of that “talent” to use! Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens are hosting their 2nd annual Scaryokie Karaoke fundraiser on Saturday, November 17th at Scooters Pub and Grill, 2458 Highway 41A Bypass, Clarksville. Doors open at 7:00pm, Karaoke begins at 8:00pm, and a $5.00 minimum donation is requested.

Red River Sirens Roller Derby presents “School House of Pain”

 

Red River SirensClarksville, TN – Clarksville Roller Derby’s Red River Sirens presents “School House of Pain”, the 4th Home Bout of this Season. The Red River Sirens will be taking on Chattanooga Roller Girls’ B Messie Smiths in a Back to School theme, on Saturday, August 18th at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the action begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 at the door, $8.00 in advance at participating businesses throughout Clarksville. Please check the web site www.ClarksvilleRollerDerby.com for the locations. Children aged 12 and younger admitted free with a paying adult. Sirens Fall to the Hot Broads

 

Clarksville, TN – Saturtday night the Red River Sirens and the Bowling Green Hot Broads  Roller Derby teams took over the Magic Wheels Skate Center in a heated bout.

The Sirens dominated the first half as they led the Hot Broads the entire half. The ladies put on a great show for everyone.

Red River Sirens Prepare for Second Home Bout

 

Clarksville Red River SirensClarksville, TN – It’ll be a rollicking good time when Clarksville Roller Derby League’s Red River Sirens team take on the West KY Rockin’ Rollers in the “Hillbilly HoDown” on July 16th at Magic Wheels, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Doors open at 6:00 and the action begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 at the door, with children aged 12 and younger admitted free. Show a valid military ID for a discount on official Sirens team logo merchandise.

This is the Red River Sirens’ second home bout and the third contest of their inaugural season. In June, they traveled to Marion, Illinois and defeated So. Ill Rollergirls with a score of 136-102. «Read the rest of this article»

Red River Sirens Make Debut

 

Red River Sirens - Clarksville, TennesseeClarksville, TN – Saturday night, Clarksville’s very own Red River Sirens made their debut against the Sintral Florida Derby Demons at Magic Wheels Skating Rink.

They had great attendance as people packed in to watch these women on roller skates race around the track doing their thing.  Each team has a Jammer and they set out to lap members of the opposing team.  Roller Derby has actually been around for many years and was very popular in the 1970’s becoming a form of sports entertainment.
