40th Anniversary Season Begins April 6th with Home Opener April 11th
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has announced its 2017 Pacific Coast League schedule, complete with home and away times for all 142 games.
The 2017 season represents the 40th in club history after beginning play in 1978 in the Southern League. The 40th Anniversary (40th Anniversary logo is attached) season begins Thursday, April 6th when the Sounds travel to Round Rock, Texas for a five-game series with American Southern Division rival, the Round Rock Express.
“We’re thrilled about the team’s 40th anniversary season and third at First Tennessee Park,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. “Our staff is working hard to create an exciting promotional schedule that will highlight the rich history of 40 years of Sounds baseball in Nashville.”
Season Tickets On Sale Now For 72-Game Slate
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced their 2014 playing schedule today and will host 72 games at Greer Stadium during their 37th season of competition.
Nashville kicks off the Pacific Coast League season on Thursday, April 3rd in Omaha as part of a season-opening, eight-game road trip before beginning their 2014 home slate in Music City on Friday, April 11th, also against Omaha. The Sounds will conclude the season with a road trip, playing their final home contest on Wednesday, August 27th.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans open the 2013 season at the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 8th, and they will be featured in a November primetime game against division rival Indianapolis Colts.
Tennessee opens its home schedule on September 22nd against the San Diego Chargers and will host the NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers on October 20th.
Season Opener Slated For April 4th At Greer Stadium
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced their 2013 playing schedule today and will host 72 games at Greer Stadium during their 36th season of competition.
The Sounds will open and close the campaign at home, kicking off the Pacific Coast League season on Thursday, April 4th when they take the field at Greer against the New Orleans Zephyrs and concluding the year with a four-game series against the division-rival Iowa Cubs that culminates on Labor Day.

Brentwood, TN – The Ohio Valley Conference has announced its schedules for the 2012-13 season, one week after announcing plans for divisional play for men and women’s basketball.
The schedules feature 16 games with each team playing divisional foes twice during the season (home and away) and playing teams in the opposite division once a season. APSU Women’s Volleyball
Clarksville, TN – Fresh off a season that saw it reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history, Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team will tackle a 2011 schedule replete with powerful programs, according to the schedule released Tuesday by first-year head coach Bill Egbert.
The Lady Govs schedule includes four teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last season – Auburn, Butler, Lipscomb and Missouri. Missouri advanced to the tournament’s third round after upsetting fifth-seeded Northern Iowa in the opening round then dispatching Northwestern in round two before falling to No. 12 seed Duke. Auburn also advanced to the tournament’s second round while Butler and Lipscomb fell in the first round.
