Roxy Regional Theatre finishes Season 36 with “Damn Yankees”, August 2nd-24th

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, is hitting it out of the park to close Season 36 of live entertainment on the corner of Franklin Street and First Street with the home-run hit musical “Damn Yankees”.
“Damn Yankees” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, August 2nd, at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Legends Bank presents “Hairspray” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, beginning this Friday, September 7th, at 8:00pm. United Way, Roxy Regional Theatre Cast Light on Collaborative Spirit
United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region
Clarksville, TN – United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region and the Roxy Regional Theatre joined together to usher in United Way’s giving campaign and celebrate an official re-lighting of the Roxy marquee.
“This year’s giving campaign encourages local residents and businesses to play their part in strengthening our community. Together, we are more than we can achieve alone. Tremendous support is needed for local nonprofits that join hands to enhance our collective quality of life and lift up those struggling. United Way is proud to open this year’s giving campaign season with the Roxy, one those organizations and a valuable asset in our region,” said Ginna Holleman, local United Way CEO.

The Roxy Regional Theatre presents Robert Harling’s stage hit “Steel Magnolias”, July 28th through August 19th, 2017.
Directed by Ryan Bowie, the beloved comedy-drama which inspired the 1989 film starring Dolly Parton, Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis and Daryl Hannah centers on the bond among a group of six Southern women at a small-town beauty shop in northwest Louisiana.

This is the last week to see On the Town at the Roxy Regional Theatre.
Clarksville, TN – The Leonard Bernstein musical On the Town is currently playing at the Roxy regional Theatre in historic downtown Clarksville Tennessee. The show runs through October 4th and is definitely worth going to see if you have not yet done so.
This musical extravaganza follows the antics of three sailors at the height of World War II who are heading into the New York City for 24 hours of liberty. Sailors on liberty generally look for the action, maybe a little food, drink, and most definitely a date! You have all heard of the old Navy axiom a girl in every port; well these three sailors try their best to live up to it.
