Consumer Reports 2016 Annual Brand Report Card shows Subaru and Mazda Keeping Pace with Luxury Brands

 

Audi, Subaru, Lexus, Porsche, BMW lead the pack

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Consumers don’t always have to spend top dollar to get a great car. The Consumer Reports 2016 Brand Report Card reveals mainstream brands like Subaru and Mazda can often deliver as much quality as more opulent luxury brands.

The highest overall brand scores in Consumer Reports’ annual indicator of which brands make the best cars went to Audi (80) and Subaru (78). Consumer Reports currently Recommends 100 percent of each brand’s models that it has tested. Luxury brands Lexus (76), Porsche (76), and BMW (76) rounded out the top five in CR’s rankings.

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Multi-function, cross-linked infotainment systems and the associated in-car electronics are a growing reliability plague for many brands, according to Consumer Reports 2014 Annual Reliability Survey.

First-year models from Infiniti, Jeep, Fiat, Ram, Cadillac, Ford, and Honda have all seen significant problem rates from infotainment bugs and glitches. Consumer Reports’ 2014 Top Picks List has Ram 1500 and Tesla Model S among New Winners

 

Ram 1500 pickup first Chrysler model to make list in 16 years

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – In its annual Top Picks list, Consumer Reports has crowned four new vehicles—the Hyundai Santa Fe, Ram 1500, Subaru Forester, and Tesla Model S—with the top honor in each of their respective categories.

For the first time in 16 years, a Chrysler earned a spot on the list with the Ram 1500 nabbing best Pickup Truck, a category that had taken a hiatus in 2013 because Consumer Reports had not yet tested two newly-released vehicles in that segment, the extensively updated Ram 1500 and the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra. The last Chrysler vehicle to earn Consumer Reports’ Top Pick honors was the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Consumer Reports Auto Reliability Surveys shows Ford Continuing to Fall while Seven Japanese Brands Top List

 

Audi and Cadillac make major jumps in Rankings

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – A perfect storm of reliability problems has dropped Ford to next to last among the 28 car brands ranked in Consumer Reports 2012 Annual Auto Reliability Survey, while its luxury brand, Lincoln, placed just a notch higher. The findings were released today before the Automotive Press Association in Detroit.

Only two years ago, Ford was Detroit’s poster child for reliability. It cracked the top 10 among brands in Consumer Reports predicted-reliability scores, with more than 90 percent of its models being average or better. Consumer Reports Automaker Report Cards 2012: Subaru Drives Into Top Spot as Honda Slips

 

Mazda’s score improves most while Ford’s falls the farthest

Subaru’s score of 75, two points higher than last year, reflects better test scores for such redesigned models as the Impreza, Legacy, and Outback over the last few years. The 2012 Impreza, which Consumer Reports just tested, now tops the small-sedan class and is the Consumer Reports Top Pick in that category. Clarksville’s own Wyatt-Johnson named GMC Dealer of the Year

 

Wyatt-Johnson Auto GroupClarksville, TN – For the second year in a row, Wyatt-Johnson has been named “GMC Dealer of the Year” – an honor awarded to only 18 dealerships out of 700 nationwide.

To commemorate this premier achievement, five GM executives visited Clarksville last week to host lunch and celebrate with 75 Wyatt-Johnson employees. This high honor was based on sales volume of Buick and GMC cars and trucks in 2010 as well as service records and customer satisfaction.
