Hilltop Super Market’s Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off and Car Show kicked off Friday night

 

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market’s Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off and Car Show got started Friday night, May 6th. Over forty cars from Corvettes to Chevrolets to Mustangs were on display. Several hundred people came by for the event.

“I think this event is great. They do it every year. It’s always a great community event,” stated Lynn Dallas. “We are car buffs so we like to go out and see the cool cars. We come here every year. We always look forward to when they put this on.”

Clarksville Fire Rescue to wear pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness month

 

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – On October 4th, 2012, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will join Fire Chief Michael Roberts and Clarksville Fire Rescue in presenting a check to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Members of the Clarksville Fire Rescue Department devised an idea for special t-shirts which could be sold to their staff and supporters. Another staffer helped design the shirt.

Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center to hold Fundraising Event for Brady Conatser Saturday morning

 

Come out and Bowl for Brady

Brady ConatserClarksville, TN – On Saturday, January 28th there will be a fundraising event for Brady Conatser at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center. Dr. Mac Edington has donated the Pinnacle from 9:00am to 11:00am for free bowling that includes shoe rental. A donation of $7.00 will be collected at the door.

Conatser, a 2011 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, was paralyzed on December 27th when he became light headed and fell hitting his head on a truck bumper and then again on a bolt that was part of the car lift. Brady Conatser’s Fundraiser Auction a Huge Success

 

Brady ConatserCunningham, TN – On Saturday, January 21st at 6:00pm a Fundraiser Auction held at the Montgomery Central High School’s Thomas-Young Gym for Brady Conatser, a young man who was paralyzed in a fall during a fainting episode. All the money raised will help pay for Brady’s medical and rehabilitation bills.

Conatser, a 2011 graduate of Montgomery Central, was paralyzed on December 27th when he became light headed and fell hitting his head on a truck bumper and then again on a bolt that was part of the car lift. Fundraiser Auction this Saturday for Brady Conatser

 

Brady ConatserCunningham, TN – There will be a Fundraiser Auction at the Montgomery Central High School gym for Brady Conatser Saturday, January 21st starting at 6:00pm. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, etc for sale as well as t-shirts. The t-shirts are $20.00 each.

Brady Conatser fell on December 27th injuring his spine. He has recently been moved to the Shepard Center in Atlanta, GA, a world renowned rehabilitation center that specializes in spinal cord injuries. Downtown Kiwanis Club and Lone Star Rodeo Tour bring two days of excitement to Fairgrounds Park.

This weekend brought two days of rodeo excitement to Clarksville at the Fairgrounds Park. Friday was the opening night and Wendy’s Restaurants sponsored it’s Kids Night at the Rodeo.

Glenn Childers, 2008 Downtown Kiwanis Club Chair, gave a brief rundown of this year’s rodeo, adding that the Kiwanis Club, with its 128 members, are proud that this was their 24th year bringing the rodeo to the Clarksville community. This rodeo was a very family-oriented and family-friendly happening, with the proceeds the Downtown Kiwanis Club raise dedicated to aid children and youth programs.

The pageantry of rodeo is colorful, dramatic, patriotic and exciting. Mark North, rodeo announcer, does an excellent job of informing the crowd of what is going on in the arena and encouraging everyone’s participation and appreciation for the athletes’ performances on display, both human and animal.
