Clarksville Gas and Water reports Section of Tanglewood Drive Closed for Water Main Repair

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed Tanglewood Drive from Cherokee Trail to Eastern Hills Drive to repair the water main.

The work is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 2:00pm.

City of Clarksville to hold Urban Wilderness meeting August 22nd

 

Clarksville Mayor, Parks Director to discuss project with neighbors

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Parks Director Jennifer Letourneau will meet with neighbors from around the proposed Urban Wilderness park in Midtown Clarksville to discuss the project.

The City officials will make a brief remarks and then take questions and comments about the proposal. The meeting, sponsored by neighborhood organizations, will be at 6:30pm, Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 at Hilldale Methodist Church.

Clarksville Urban Wilderness clears budget hurdle

 

Natural recreation area envisioned in heart of the Clarksville

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan’s 2018 budget, approved Monday by the Clarksville City Council, includes $450,000 to acquire a unique tract of land in the heart of Clarksville to be preserved as an Urban Wilderness.

The Clarksville Urban Wilderness would be on rugged land that lies between Madison Street and the Red River off of Tanglewood Drive. It includes dense vegetation, steep ravines, primitive trails, and a stream with a waterfall.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan unveils 2018 City Budget

 

No-tax-increase plan focuses on public safety, roads

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan presented a proposed 2017-18 budget Wednesday that calls for no property tax increase, but provides for significant investment in public safety, new roadways, a downtown Performing Arts and Conference Center, a family Athletic Complex and land for a new Urban Wilderness park in the heart of the city.

“I’m proposing a No-Tax-Increase budget, with the property tax rate remaining $1.24 per $100 of assessed property value,” Mayor McMillan said in her annual budget speech to the community. “This is the same rate City property owners paid this year.”

Clarksville Gas and Water announces Madison Street Water Outage and Lane Closure Planned

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has planned an extended water outage on Saturday, May 6th, at 11:00pm on Madison Street for water valve replacement work, if weather permits.

Residents and businesses along Madison Street from Liberty Parkway to Golf Club Lane at the Madison Street and Memorial Drive intersection will be affected by the water outage. Tanglewood Drive, Cherokee Trail and the Eastern Hills Drive areas will also be affected by the outage.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Eastern Hills Area Water Outage

 

Monday, January 26th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water will turn off water service in the in the Eastern Hills subdivision until approximately 11:30am for water valve maintenance. The outage will affect Eastern Hills Drive, Tanglewood Drive and Cherokee Trail.

The roads are open to traffic.

Clarksville Police arrest Mark Mosley for Parking Meter Thefts

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, February 20th, the Clarksville Police Department  put out a public request seeking information and identity of a person  ripping parking meters out of the sidewalks in downtown Clarksville and removing the change.
