Nashville, TN – Legislation that would ban the sale of powdered or crystalline alcohol in Tennessee continued to move forward in the legislature this week in Nashville. House Bill 404 would make it a Class A misdemeanor offense to sell the product, which is currently pending approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Palcohol, which is the brand name for the new product, was approved last year by the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau before the agency rescinded that decision over labeling issues. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville Police Department releases Alcoholic Beverage Commission Operation results from November 7th, 2014

Clarksville, TN – On November 7th, 2014 Alcohol Beverage Control Agents of the Clarksville Police Departments Special Operations Unit conducted operations targeting the sales of alcohol to underage persons.
Compliance Checks were conducted on 18 stores with 13 stores found to be in Compliance and 5 stores being cited for the sales of alcohol to an underage person. Agent Steinlage and Agent Lee are the lead investigators as these operations are ongoing.

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Clarksville Police Department, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted checkpoints and impaired driving saturation patrols January 31st, February 1st, and February 2nd, 2014, partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
Also, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission was involved in the DUI Blitz Operation in Montgomery County.

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Clarksville Police Department, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted impaired driving saturation patrols November 29th-30th, 2013, partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
During this time, there were 267 charges issued.
