Clarksville firefighters to join Sound the Alarm event April 27th

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – American Red Cross and Clarksville Fire Rescue volunteers will visit homes to help install free smoke alarms during a national effort against home fires.

The local home fire safety and smoke alarm installation event, known as Sound the Alarm, will begin at 9:00am Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 303 Market Street.

This year, massive wildfires scorched more than 8.5 million acres—in California alone, residents have suffered back-to-back years of the most destructive wildfires in state history, with the Camp Fire being the most severe.
