This marks the 500th Lady Vol game played at T-BA since the venue came online during the 1987-88 season. UT has a 454-45 (.910) record there. 

Tennessee is playing its second of six straight games on Rocky Top after opening with two of the season’s first three games on the road.

Tennessee Lady Vols basketball rolls past Tennessee State, 73-43

 

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball moved their record to 4-0 on Thursday night, defeating Tennessee State, 73-43, in front of a crowd of 7,213 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The win marked the third-straight year that UT has started out 4-0, and the Lady Vols improved to 6-0 all-time against the Lady Tigers (1-1).
 
Eight players for the Big Orange scored during the first of six consecutive home games, with three of them scoring in double digits. Sophomore Rae Burrell came off the bench to lead the way with a career-high-tying 14, while junior Rennia Davis and junior Kasiyahna Kushkituah added 12 and 11, respectively.

After opening with two of its first three games on the road, Tennessee takes up residence on Rocky Top for a six-game home stand. After facing TSU, the Lady Vols welcome Stetson (November 19th), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (November 26th), Air Force (December 1st), No. 22/15 Texas (December 8th) and Colorado State (December 11th) to The Summitt. Instant Peay Play: APSU Governors still have work to do for OVC football title

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – With a homecoming victory in their pocket after defeating then Oho Valley Conference leader Tennessee Martin, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team needs to remain focused, as they still have some work to do if they are to claim their first OVC regular season championship since 1977.

The Governors, who were ranked 24th nationally before Saturday’s win versus UT Martin, are 7-3 overall this season and are tied for the lead in the OVC, along with Southeast Missouri, with a 5-1 mark, but hold the regular-season tiebreaker versus SEMO with a 28-24 victory over the Redhawks back on October 12th at Fortera Stadium.

Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball take down #16/14 Notre Dame on the road, 74-63

 

UT Lady VolsNotre Dame, IN Rennia Davis tied her career high of 33 points to lead Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (3-0) to victory over No. 16/14 Notre Dame on the road on Monday night, 74-63. It was the Lady Vols’ first victory on the road in the series since 2008.
 
Davis, the 6-foot-2 junior from Jacksonville, FL, also pulled down 10 boards to record her second double-double of the season and the 20th of her career. Freshmen Jordan Horston and Tamari Key were also in double digits for UT with 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Jazmine Massengill narrowly missed a double-double, pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds and dishing out nine assists to set new career highs in both categories.

The Lady Vols enter the game with a 2-0 record after winning their home opener and head coach Kellie Harper‘s first regular-season game at Thompson-Boling Arena vs. Central Arkansas on Thursday night, 63-36. UT opened the Kellie Harper era on the road last Tuesday evening with a hard-fought 72-68 victory over East Tennessee at sold-out Freedom Hall in Johnson City.
