Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood for its SEC opener against LSU on Saturday afternoon inside Thompson-Boling Arena. Tipoff is slated for 12:00pm CT on ESPNU.

Saturday’s game can be seen on ESPNU, online through WatchESPN and on any mobile device through the ESPN App. Fans can access WatchESPN at espn.com/watch. Beth Mowins and Sean Parnham will have the call.

Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertlekamp describing the action.

Tennessee Vols lose at #13 LSU in Overtime, 82-80

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsBaton Rouge, LA – The No. 5 Tennessee Vols suffered an overtime loss on the road Saturday against No. 13 LSU at Pete Maravich Assembly Center, 82-80.
 
A shot with 0.6 seconds left just missed and handed the Vols (24-3, 12-2 SEC) their second straight loss on the road. The Tigers (22-5, 12-2 SEC) were fueled by a raucous, sold-out crowd and the absence of SEC Player of the Year candidate Tremont Waters, who was out due to illness.
 
Javonte Smart stepped up big for LSU, dropping a career-high 29 points to go along with five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Skylar Mays chipped in 23 points as well.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsBaton Rouge, LA – No. 5 Tennessee Vols basketball is back on the road Saturday, taking on the 13th-ranked LSU Tigers in front of a sold-out crowd at Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The game will tip at 11:00am CT and will be televised on ESPN and can also be viewed online through WatchESPN. Fans can listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp describing the action.

This will be the second top-15 road matchup for Tennessee (24-2, 12-1 SEC) in the last week. The Vols fell to then-No. 5 Kentucky last Saturday before responding with one of their best defensive performances of the season against Vanderbilt on Tuesday.

Tennessee Vols Basketball manhandles LSU 84-61

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Four Vols scored in double figures as No. 18 Tennessee pulled away from LSU Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena for its largest SEC win of the season, 84-61.
 
James Daniel III (17 points), Grant Williams (16), Jordan Bone (12), and Lamonte Turner (12) led the Vols to their fourth-straight SEC win and seventh out of eight overall to match last season’s win total of 16.
 
Daniel’s 17 points were tied for his most as a Vol, while Bone’s 12 points were his most in seven games. Turner continued his hot streak, scoring in double digits for the third time in the past four games.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Riding a three-game winning streak, 18th-ranked Tennessee will look to continue its recent success again on Wednesday, as LSU comes to Thompson-Boling Arena for a 5:30pm CT tip. The game will be televised live on SEC Network and streamed online via WatchESPN.

The Vols (15-5, 5-3 SEC) are coming off a road win at Iowa State as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge last Saturday. UT cruised to a 68-45 victory behind lockdown defense and a 20-point performance from LamontĂ© Turner, who is the team’s third-leading scorer this season with 10.4 ppg. Turner, who is averaging 30 minutes of action during the last three games, is currently riding a streak of 79+ minutes without a turnover.
