APSU student Mallory Fundora wins state’s Harold Love Outstanding Community Service Award

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University (APSU) social work student is one of five students in the state to win the Harold Love Outstanding Community Service Award. 

Mallory Fundora – who just finished her second year at Austin Peay State University – won the award for her work with Project Yesu, a charity she founded when she was 11 to feed and educate children in Uganda.

VeinCare Centers of Tennessee’s Sandra French receives Doctor of Nursing Practice degree

The University of Tennessee FOCUS Act, SB2260/HB2115, reduces the current size of the UT Board of Trustees, empowering the reconstructed board to better oversee the multiple campuses that comprise the UT system.

APSU receives over $70,000 to Support Student Veterans

 

Tennessee Higher Education CommissionNashville, TN – The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) announced today that 13 colleges and universities in Tennessee will receive additional funding and program support to serve veterans and service members and help them earn postsecondary degrees as part of Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s Drive to 55.

APSU awarded over $140,000 from THEC to Improve Campus Climate for Increased Degree Attainment

 

APSU - Tennessee Higher Education CommissionNashville, TN – The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) has awarded $800,000 to six colleges and universities (APSU receives $144,407.50) to increase student outcomes at the institutions.

The $800,000 in funding through the Institutional Outcome Improvement Fund Grant will assist institutions in growing student outcomes in areas such as credit hour progression and degree completion.
