Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Montgomery County will be resurfacing on SR 374 from the bridge over US 79 (SR 13) (LM 5.27) to the bridge over US 41A (SR 12) (LM 11.70).

Nightly, from 10:00pm-5:00am, there will be lane closures for resurfacing operations.

Tennessee Joins Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina for “Operation Southern Shield”

 

Clarksville Police Department will be taking part in “Operation Southern Shield”

Governor’s Highway Safety OfficeNashville, TN – Today, July 17th, 2017, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) was joined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, and law enforcement partners for a press event to launch “Operation Southern Shield,” a regional mobilization to crack down on speeding from July 17th to July 23rd, 2017.

The Clarksville Police Department will be joining in this effort and providing increased presence on US-41A (Madison Street, 41-A bypass, Providence Boulevard, Fort Campbell Boulevard, and Riverside Drive.

Clarksville Police release Hands Across the Border DUI Checkpoint and Saturation Patrol stats

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On May 19th, 2017 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Hopkinsville Police Department, Clarksville Police Department, and several other law enforcement agencies conducted a DUI Checkpoint/saturation patrol on US41-A near the State line.

Troopers, Deputies, and Officers were looking for impaired drivers and took enforcement action on any observed violation. During this time, there were 427 vehicles through the checkpoint.

Clarksville Police release update on Vehicle Accident Involving Pedestrian on Ashland City Road

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday morning, May 30th, 2016 at 1:23am hours, Clarksville Police Department Investigator Larry Harris responded to a crash at US-41A Bypass (Ashland City Road) and Gupton Lane.

A 2014 Nissan Maxima driven by 39-year-old Michael Main from Clarksville was going straight eastbound when it struck 41-year-old Howard Williams from Clarksville.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from May 20th & 21st, 2016

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted checkpoint and impaired saturation patrols on May 20th and May 21st, 2016, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (US 41-A & State line) from May 20th, 2016 11:00pm to May 21st, 2016 1:00am were 437.

During this time, there were 234 vehicles stopped and 237 individuals charged.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting May 13th, 2016

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Friday May 13th through Wednesday May 18th, from 9:00am–3:00pm, there will be alternating lane closures on SR 112 (Madison Street / US 41A) in both directions just west of the intersection with SR 76 was part of the widening of SR 112 (Madison Street / US 41A).

There will be alternating lane closures on SR 76 in both directions just south of the SR 112 intersection in order to locate underground utilities prior to directional boring. One lane will remain open in each direction of travel.

Clarksville Police reports Motorist struck by Falling Tree

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville TN –  Today, December 28th, 2015 at 3:20pm, the Clarksville Police Department reports a large tree suddenly fell completely across Madison Street (US 41A) near the Chick-Fil-A Restaurant near Crossland Avenue. One Westbound vehicle and two Eastbound vehicles were struck by the tree.

Investigating CPD Officer Brian Tenry said, “A Ford Fusion had to be towed from the scene and the driver was transported by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center with minor injuries.”
