Austin, TX – The No. 13/15 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (16-7, 9-4 SEC) remains perfect in NCAA Tournament participation, earning the program’s 39th-straight invitation to the “Big Dance.” UT is the only school to appear in every women’s tourney.
The UT Lady Vols were selected as a No. 3 seed in the River Walk Region and will meet No. 14 seed Middle Tennessee (17-7) in the NCAA First Round on Sunday. Tip-off is slated for 2:00pm ET (1:00pm CT) at the Frank Erwin Center on the University of Texas campus. The game will be televised by ABC and carried by the Lady Vol Radio Network.
Sevierville, TN – Despite a move up the leaderboard from Shelby Darnell, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s golf was unable to gain ground on the field at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate over Monday’s second round at Sevierville Golf Club’s Highlands Course.
Troy, AL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball team for the first time in their 36-year history opened a season with four straight wins, as they swept Western Carolina and Mercer Sunday morning in the final day of the Troy Invitational by 7-5 and 6-1 finals.
Both the 1995 and 2017 teams open their seasons with three wins but failed to come away victorious in their fourth contest of the year.
Troy, AL – After having to wait 345 days since their last game due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Austin Peay State University made the most of its return to the softball field, Saturday at the Troy Invitational, picking up a pair of wins, coming away with a 6-2 victory versus Western Carolina and a 9-1 — run-rule — victory over Mercer in the nightcap.
The Govs will conclude play at the invitational tomorrow, squaring off against the same to teams, facing Western Carolina at 9:00am, followed by a 12:30pm contest versus Mercer.

Knoxville, TN – No. 22/22 Tennessee (17-4, 7-1 SEC) will play its second No. 1-ranked team of the season, as the Lady Vols travel to Columbia to take on No. 1/2 South Carolina (20-1, 8-0 SEC) in Colonial Life Arena at 12:02pm CT on Sunday.
UT previously faced off with No. 1/1 Stanford on December 18th, playing competitively before falling, 78-51, at Maples Pavilion.
This will mark the 59th meeting in a series that began in 1972, with Tennessee leading 58-10. The Lady Vols will try to snap a two-game losing skid to the Gamecocks, but the Big Orange will try to extend a two-game winning streak in games played at Colonial Life Arena.

Knoxville, TN – No. 22/22 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (16-4, 6-1 SEC) hits the road for the first of three away games in its next four outings, playing Vanderbilt (12-8, 2-5 SEC) at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville on Thursday at 8:05pm CT (9:05pm ET).
This will mark the 83rd contest in a rivalry that began in 1976. UT leads the series, 72-10, and has won 10 of the past 11, with Vandy picking up its first-ever victory in Knoxville last season. The UT women are 247-61-1 all-time vs. four-year college teams from the Volunteer State, defeating East Tennessee State (72-68) and Tennessee State (73-43) earlier this season.
