Fort Campbell continues to be impacted by July 2016 severe weather

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell continues experience an impact from the severe weather on July 6th, and the storms since. Some areas on the installation have reopened, while others remain closed.

The Skeet Range has reopened. Individuals can access the range from Jordan Springs Road, then west end of 11th Airborne near Camp Hinsch. Jordan Springs Road has been repaved and is fully operational and 11th Airborne Division Road is also open.

The Fletchers Fork Campground and Cabins and Wohali Pavilion are closed for at least 30 days until further reassessment.

Volunteers needed at Fort Campbell for Project Clean Streams

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Join the Environmental Division Stormwater Program on Friday, Apiril 17th, 2015 for a morning of fun and fresh air as volunteers to help clean trash and debris along the banks of Fort Campbell lakes and streams.

This beautification project is aimed to make our waterways cleaner, safer, and to reduce the adverse effects pollution has on our water quality.

Everyone is to meet at Wohali Pavilion outside Gate 10 (Lake Taal).

Fort Campbell Army 10-Miler Qualifier Race

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – If you think you have what it takes to compete with other world class runners, here is your chance!

The Fort Campbell Sports and Fitness Office will be holding a 10-Miler qualification race on May 3rd with a gun start at 7:00am. The road race will begin and end at Wohali Pavilion outside Gate 10.

Fort Campbell’s Outdoor Recreation announces March Adventure Programs

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Spring is almost here!  Come and celebrate with Outdoor Recreation.

On March 10th from 9:00am until 4:00pm you are invited to join Outdoor Recreation while they ride the scenic trails at Chickasaw Trace. Chickasaw Trace is a small 300 acre park, bordering the Duck River just Southeast of Nashville.  It may be small but this park offers some of the best mountain biking in Middle Tennessee. It has something to offer cyclists of all levels of experience. Helmets and bikes will be provided.  The cost is $19.00 per person, ages 14 and up.  Preregistration is required by 4:00pm on March 9th. «Read the rest of this article»

Then come to this year’s Spring Turkey Seminar! The seminar will be presented by COL (Ret) Jack Oliver who is a National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) member and a nationally recognized sportsman.

Come on down to the Wohali Pavilion on Friday, March 16th at 7:00pm to participate in this free seminar. Registration is required.

Army Emergency Relief 5K Fun Run/Walk

Women in the Wilderness Adventure Series

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Outdoor Recreation has an amazing fall line-up for their Women in the Wilderness Adventure Series.  September is “On Land and in the Water”, October is ‘Take Aim and Fire” and November is “Climbing to New Heights”.

September’s focus is on water sports, camping and horseback riding with a weekend trip to Land Between the Lakes.  It kicks off with an Introduction to Canoeing & Kayaking.  You have 2 opportunities to sign up for this activity, September 6th from 10:00am until 1:00pm or September 10th from 10:00am until 1:00pm.

This is a great opportunity for like-minded women to try canoeing and kayaking in a safe environment. The cost is $9.00 and participants need to bring a sack lunch, plenty of water and sunscreen for the day. «Read the rest of this article»
