Clarksville Police apprehend suspects in Northridge Drive Shooting

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, October 13th, 2014 at 4:32pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a Aggravated Assault at the 200 block of Northridge Drive.

The victim stated that he was standing outside by the garage when individuals he knew as “TJ” and a juvenile (first & last name of juvenile was given) drove by and shot him. The victim did not provide any more details.

The victim was transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center. He does not appear to have life threatening injuries from being shot.

The Clarksville Kiwanis Club Rodeo continues tonight!

 

Kiwanis Club of Clarksville RodeoClarksville, TN – The Downtown Kiwanis Club is currently hosting its 26th annual Kiwanis Rodeo and the festivities continue tonight at the Montgomery County 4-H Arena located at 1924 Rossview Road.  The Rodeo opened last night to a sell out crowd.  Tonight the gates open at 6:00pm and the Rodeo starts at 8:00pm.  The Kiwanis Rodeo has been sanctioned by the PRCA and WPRA.

Events include calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, and bull riding and more.  There are also various contests, games, and a kids zone with inflatables.

Kiwanis Club of Clarksville Rodeo this Friday and Saturday

 

Kiwanis Club of Clarksville RodeoClarksville, TN – The Downtown Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual Kiwanis Rodeo at the Montgomery County 4-H Arena Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st.

The gates open at 6:00pm and the Rodeo starts at 8:00pm both nights. This is a PRCA and WPRA sanctioned Rodeo.

Santa Claus’s visits to Christmas on the Cumberland

 

Clarksville, TN – After participating in the opening of Christmas on the Cumberland on November 22nd, 2010; Santa Claus returned several times to visit with children enjoying the Christmas lights spectacular.

Clarksville Online tagged along on one of the evenings, Saturday December 16th;  taking hundreds of photos of young people enjoying their visit with Clarksville, Tennessee’s Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.

Part of Santa’s visits include giving toy’s to the children under the age of 12, as measured by his 4.3′ tall candy cane. 4.3′ is the height of an average 12 year old child; though Santa does makes case by case exceptions for the taller 12 year olds. Over the last 10 years Santa Claus has given away over 70,000 toys that he and his helpers Gary and Marie Caudill have purchased specifically for this purpose.

Santa’s visits to Christmas on the Cumberland are sponsored by the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation, the Woodlawn Papa Rock Travel Center; Clarksville Limb and Brace, and Geico Insurance.

Santa Claus visits the Woodlawn Papa Rock Travel Center

 

Woodlawn Papa Rock Travel CenterWoodlawn, TN – The Woodlawn Papa Rock Travel Center to show their appreciation for their customers arranged to have Santa Claus on come to the store on December 17th for a visit. After spending a few minutes with each child Santa provided them with a small gift. These included eight families that the store adopted this Christmas season to provide extra assistance for them  during this difficult time of the year.
