Its a Wonderful Life: Live Radio Play!

Its a Wonderful LifeIt’s a Wonderful Life A Live Radio Play” by Joe Landry  performed in the style of an old time radio performance, complete with live sound effects and classic radio style music and jingles. It’s just the kind of good, clean family entertainment that Connie Smith, and Danny Atchley are bringing to the community of Springfield,TN via The Robertson County Players!

Great attention to detail has been made when putting together this production. The year is 1946. Radio announcer Freddy Filmore  (played by Steve Smith) is bringing together his all-star cast for a Christmas Eve live radio performance of “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Come and bring your family and return to a simpler era when the imagination was called upon to bring the written word to life! The Robertson County Players will help paint a heart-warming picture of a beloved holiday tale! With actors portraying the voices of many of your favorite characters from the movie version of Frank Capra’s ‘Its a Wonderful Life’  you will soon forget you are “watching” a radio show performance and soon be swept up in all the laughter and drama that unfolds.

Josh Webb brings all the charm and sincerity required for the role of  the much loved and adored character George Bailey, with many returning Robertson County Players such as Sam Dressler, Danny Atchley, Pamela Duke, Roger Grimsley and Steve Haley. Many new actors will be joining the brilliant cast; Nelda Atchley, Kathy Dorris, Mathew Hardee, Sarah Marberry, Kimberly Cox, James Saine, Nolan Underhill, Beth Mitchell and your author for this piece, as Mary Bailey.

So brush off your suit, grab your coat and furs ladies and be ready to be transformed back in time,

“It’s A Wonderful Life, A Live Radio Play” opens at Springfield High School on December 2nd and runs thru December 5th. The evening performances begin at 7:00pm with a special Sunday Matinee at 2:00pm on December 5th.

Advance Tickets are on sale now for $6.00 at White’s Jewelers, Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, Robertson County 50 + Senior Center and Holman Jewelers in Springfield. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $8.00. With $1.00 of every ticket sold to benefit RCP’s Playing it Forward nominee Home Safe.
