Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team steps out of conference play with a 2:00pm, Tuesday match against Middle Tennessee at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.

Austin Peay will need to make strides throughout the lineup in order to perform well against a Middle Tennessee team that has had success against the OVC. The Blue Raiders already have wins against Murray State and UT Martin.
Freshman Ornella Di Salvo seems to be finding her groove at No. 2 singles, having won four of six matches, including two straight, since moving to the position. Freshman Alison Carre also has won four of six matches since switching to No. 3 singles. The Lady Govs are looking to make strides at the bottom of the lineup, where they’ve won only eight matches during the spring.
In doubles Tomic and Carre have won six straight matches at No. 1, while sophomore Andra Cornea and Di Salvo have won five of their last six matches.
Middle Tennessee picked up a comeback win, Tuesday, against Northern Iowa, 5-2, winning five singles matches after dropping the doubles point.
