APSU Softball cancelled due to wet conditions

Austin Peay Lady Govs LogoMurray, KY — Austin Peay State University’s softball team had its May 4th Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader at Murray State cancelled due to wet field conditions.

The three-game OVC series is now down to a May 5th doubleheader, starting at 11:00am., to wrap up the regular season at Central Park – just off the Murray State campus.Despite the cancelled game May 4th, the Lady Govs are still in the running for a berth into the OVC post-season tournament, with Morehead State losing both of its games to Eastern Kentucky on May 4th by scores of 3-1 and 4-3.

To make the tournament field, Austin Peay will need to win both games versus Murray State May 5th and have Morehead State lose or get rained out at Eastern Kentucky.
