AAA reports Gas Prices fall to Four Year Low

 

Gas Prices Hit Their Lowest Point since December 2010

AAATampa, FL – The national average for regular unleaded gasoline fell below $3.00 per gallon for the first time since December 22nd, 2010 on Saturday.

More than sixty percent of U.S. gas stations are currently selling gas lower than $3.00 a gallon, while twenty-three states currently have averages under the $3.00 mark today. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Police Department swears in Two New Officers; Zachary Baggett and Randolph Puskas

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today, Monday November 3rd, 2014, the Clarksville Police Department welcomed Zachary Baggett and Randolph Puskas.

The New Officers and their families, along with Deputy Chief Michael Parr, and other City Officials, gathered at City Hall, while they were sworn in by Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Winter Gym kicks off November 10th

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from October 31st – November 1st, 2014

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted impaired saturation patrols on October 31st and November 1st, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

During this time, there were 178 vehicles stopped and 143 individuals charged.

APSU Percussion Ensemble holds 30th Annual Halloween Concert

 

The APSU Music DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Friday evening Austin peace State University played host to the 30th Annual Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert. The sell out performances featured Music department students and faculty dressed in costumes while performing on a ghoulishly decorated stage.

This year’s program featured “This is Halloween,” from the film “The Nightmare Before Christmas;” “Once Upon a Dream,” from the recent “Maleficent” movie; Franz Schubert’s “Erlkönig,“ about magical beings attacking a young boy; and a Halloween rap arranged by Steinquest.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan discusses the Issues; looks at Clarksville’s bright Future

 

Election 2014Clarksville, TN – Tomorrow, Tuesday October 3rd, is Tennessee’s General Election. Ballots will be cast on a range of offices and issues. Clarksville will also be electing the Mayor for the next four years. The candidates are Mayor Kim McMillan, City Councilman Bill Summers, and City Councilman Jeff Burkart.

Current Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan was sworn into office in January of 2011. When she was elected, her first goal was to reestablish the trust and integrity in the Mayor’s office. She came into office with two decades of experience representing the citizens of Clarksville-Montgomery County.
