Austin Peay Sports Information
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University football team participated in its first 2015 full-team preseason practice, Tuesday, at Governors Stadium.
At 9:00am sharp, more than 90 players hit the field in jerseys and shorts and got to work.

That group of newcomers will push a deep pool of returning contributors from a year ago as 16 starters and nearly 40 lettermen return.
Linemen worked on pad drills, quarterbacks and receivers worked on timing and the defense worked in one-on-one drills for the first part of practice, breaking off into 11-on-11 skeleton drills later in the session. On a humid morning that saw temperatures in the low-to-mid-80s, the Governors looked sharp defensively and promising on the other side of the ball.
The Governors continue practice this week with a 9:00am session every morning and light walk-through in the afternoon, all on the field at Governors Stadium.
