Clarksville Police arrest Angel Brown for Falsely Reporting an Armed Robbery, Utilizing Multiple City Resources

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On August 19th, 2015 at 4:24pm, Clarksville Police Detective Christy Arwood responded to a report of a Robbery at 1370 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Boost Mobile.

The employee, Angel Brown, provided detailed information about an unknown black male suspect who pointed a gun at her chest and demanded the deposit bag. Brown also provided responding officers a direction that the suspect left the business.

Numerous Clarksville Police Department Officers responded to the scene utilizing emergency traffic to provide an immediate response to the reported dangerous criminal incident. Detectives, K-9 officers, patrol officers, and Clarksville EMS responded and utilized resources to secure the alleged victims and the public.

It was later found that the Robbery did not happen, and the report was made to conceal a theft of money from the business.

Angel Brown, a 29-year-old Clarksville resident, was arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail for False Reports with a total bond amount of $10,000.

Brown refused to provide a statement of the missing money. The investigation of the theft will continue. There is no further information at this time.
